can't wait to see your scarf when your done. i love that yarn in the pic! are you using that same yarn for your scarf.

I am, actually!  Well, I'm using the blue version, which is called 'dull' but is nothing of the sort:

It's for a semi-significant other who is moving away.  Woe and all that.  Silly boy, would have thought the orange was 'too girly', but since I think I'm only going to need one skein of the stuff, I made go in tomorrow and trade the other one for some of the orange.  Or the brown.  Or the green!

Sooo many pretty colours...

And I'll let y'all know you were 100% correct; stockinette and the eeeeasiest thing in the world, even for me.  George, I highly suggest it for yourself as well.  The chunky look just makes me all warm and snuggly inside.  hee!

I'm a new knitter, and have mostly stuck to plain knitting.  Nothing over or purled or whatsit.  It's worked out fine, except I've been kicked into the whole 'moving on' thing by this beautiful wool that I recieved as a gift yesterday.

Now, I've found a scarf that I would love to create, but I'm not quite at the brilliance level where I can look at a scarf and know the stitches.  I do know it's SUPER easy, though, (according to the package) is on size 19 mm needles and is probably something along the line of knit/purl/repeat but... newbie.

Help a girl out?
