31  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Digital Scales?? on: March 11, 2009 12:07:18 PM
This may be a silly question, and you all might say "a scale is a scale... is a scale" BUT I've been looking for a digital scale to measure my yarn/rovings, and there's just too many! Some are reallllly tiny and really cheap. and others are just as small but expensive. I just don't want to regret a purchase!

So what kind of scales do you guys use??

Drawing I: Our first assignment was to draw a shoe. My shoe is in love with my boy's shoe. Smiley

Drawing I Assignment: Draw this quote -
"They all stopped and watched as the hat came into the room." This was fun. Took about 2 hours, from thought process to finish.

Design & Color Assignment:  Render a "simplified portrait" using shape and line. I didn't like it, but it's starting to grow on me.
Oil pastels, fabric, and a black permanent marker.

Design & Color Assignment: Take the "simplified portrait and turn it into something else (such as an album cover, poster, blah blah.)
I suppose this could be a book cover, to the depths of my mind.
I want to color this soon!

This is something I made a while ago for my man-pet. It's a mix tape with different songs that remind me of him (yep, I'm gross hehe)

Comments/criticism utterly appreciated! (my school isn't the greatest, I hardly get any crit.)

Also, if you want to see these larger, you can go to my flickr page!

My friend and I made this bag last summer before she went off to college. sooo far away :[
It's rather wonky. but it was made with love, so who cares Cheesy

My life has been taken over by AP Art. so I haven't really made anything in quite some time...
34  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / AP art will become the end of me... on: February 11, 2008 05:56:08 PM

Just a sketch of a cutie... Smiley

and this is another piece for my concentration: ("How many more do I need by next month?" ... "8??")

I have a really crappy scanner. but you get the idea.
It's supposed to symbolize how our ideas are often larger than reality.
water colours and micron pens
This is basically my second time working with water colours so any comments/criticism is appreciated!

also, heres my devart page if anyone's interested.

I found this in the Walmart parking lot, and immediately started clicking the alarm button at all the cars around me hehee. but no luck! Sad
So with the help of some super sticky adhesive and a jump ring, I have an awesome necklace!

Yes, it's a vagina pill Cheesy (birth control)
I finished it about 4am, so you can see my mind was a bit loopy.
I'm gonna stick it in my concentration for AP Art..
"Using scale and values to portray different emotions." hah. I've changed my concentration like 4 times, so don't be surprised if it's different next time!

38  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / "skirt mullet." hillarious. on: June 14, 2007 03:53:58 PM

side view: to see how much lower the back is than the front. (and how boxy it looks)
I just cut down the side seem. and I'm thinking of evening it out (maybe sew up the slits? I'd have to go up farther than the slit itself, so it doesn't leave a lump)... but I like the length. opinions are welcome!

=fix!=
I ended up trimming it.

39  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / VCR tape flowah. on: May 18, 2007 06:16:07 PM
I'm showing this off for my mum Grin

She mostly makes rugs, with plastic bags and some VCR tape mixed in (it's really good for wiping your feet off) but this was a little experiment. and of course I saw it and stole it Cheesy
