1552  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Bottle Caps / Snapple Caps / Etc. on: August 24, 2005 01:18:50 PM
I've been saving up bottle caps for a while now, and I was thinking of making candle holders by supergluing them together ^_^ ...I dont' know how else to explain it.

i d k if this is really stupid or would look really cute but you could make button barrettes. hmm. or sew them onto the top rim thingy of your jean pockets and on your belt loops.
I did that to my friends jeans. We pretty much had a spontanious "button party" and we were jazzing up everthing we could find with these great buttons  Grin I love buttons

I love that picture frame and the necklace, totally cool!  You could make a belt also.
Button belts are rad. hehehe pictures ^_^

Wow these are great! I especially like the Aerosmith and pink floyd ones.  I think I might try this on one of my huge shirts Smiley

1557  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: "_____ in a box" gift ideas. on: August 23, 2005 11:38:29 AM
i was thinking of "girlfriend in a box" since me and my bf live a very long distance apart and we can't be together, i figured i'd bring parts of myself to him.
...
any other ideas? Huh

This is a GREAT idea, and just what I was looking for! I was thinking of somehow making confetti (LOTS) pop out at him when he opens the box. The mix tape is a good idea. I can put all of the songs that will remind him of me on it Smiley and what about making a little red clay circle with your names enscribed into it. and on the back write "Hearts are meant to be broken, but circles last forever" or somthing like that....or you can just use a heart haha.
And well, all I have to say is dollar stores work wonders ^_^

that's interesting.. how did you do the back?? Is the black meshy mateial sewed on to the front white material?? I like the ties on the shoulders.

yeah, it's sewed together on the sides. heh, sorry, my arm was covering it in the picture. hehe Thanks, I like the shoulder ties too, they were fun Smiley
and thank you for your wonderful comment  Cheesy
1560  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Guilty of reconstruction! on: August 22, 2005 01:10:03 PM
I had this shirt laying around, and I never wore it. So I decided to play with it. This is my first project...that I actually finished haha. Sorry I didn't take before pictures...but I guess I just got too caught up in the moment hehe

The black mesh used to be the sleeves...and I had to hand sew a lot of it because my sewing machine loves to try to eat my materials  Undecided

Well I hope you like  Cheesy
