1  Re: Fall 07 IK's Tyrolean Stockings in Knitalongs by Shadymarla on: January 11, 2008 09:47:45 PM

These are my terrific Tyrolean stockings.  Full time employment dampens my progress exponentially.  They are knit with a very "rustic" yarn that I recycled from a sweater that had great fiber content (80% wool/ 20% angora) but was hideous.

2  Cable front pullover from VK in Knitting: Completed Projects by Shadymarla on: November 06, 2007 01:55:13 PM

Cable front pullover from VK Fall 2006.

I knit this piece using three skeins of Eco-Wool in Mocha and vanilla.  The picture is pretty accurate to the colors, except they are a little warmer.

I don't have any modeling pics yet, though I will post them as soon as I do.

My version of the sweater has been heavily modified to accommodate a petite, wasp waisted, extremely busty girl. The original sweater was meant to be pretty boxy, shapeless and loose-fitting.  The person I knit this sweater for is 17 and wanted a more stylish and flattering fit.
I added short row bust shaping and more severe waist shaping in addition to shortening the length by an inch.

Overall, I really love how this came out.  Cross your fingers and hope that it fits her!

Spicy tuna + julienne cucumber and red pepper + kukuho sushi rice + wasabi + pickled ginger + soy sauce + bottle of lindeman's shiraz = a wonderful sushi dinner at home.

Thanks for looking!  See more at my blog.http://altus.wordpress.com/2007/10/20/sushi/
