1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Lots and lots of good cardboard? on: August 29, 2007 11:41:49 PM
I think I'm ready for a fairly large project, as I haven't really done anything amazingly crafty in a while. So when I came across some large pieces of cardboard, I started to brainstorm.
I have about thirty or forty pieces of long, not very wide and thick cardboard.
I haven't really been able to think of anything very creative to do with them, and that's where you guys come in! Any advice is welcome.

Wow. Well, this is my first time posting something I've made. That's pretty insane.
Anyway;;;
Last year at a garage sale my mom got this really creepy 'Tickle Me Ernie' doll, and yesterday my dogs decided to chew it up.
My mom threw it in the garbage and I was all - Zombies in Sesame Street? That'd be awesome.

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Harry Potter Craft/Movie watching party, I need ideas! on: May 07, 2006 03:46:27 PM
I am having a Harry Potter party with some of my friends. One of them, who moved to a new house a few months ago, I have not seen for a long time. So this party needs to be special. I would love it if any of you guys could give me ideas of things we could do during the party.

Some of the ideas I have come up with so far are:
Making buttons (like, I vote Cedric Diggory/I vote Herry Potter pins that we could wear)
Watching the movies
Making scarves, although not everyone knows how to knit and it would take a while...
Decorating t-shirts
Making some the treats that are mentioned in the books ((Yumm!))

That's about all that I've come up with.
I would love any further ideas!  Cheesy

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Likely My Last Halloween Costume... Need Good Ideas. on: October 15, 2005 05:54:20 AM
Wink This could be my last (trick or treating) Halloween and I need good costume ideas!

I was thinking I'd be someone from cinderella this year (I was Peter Pan last year, and the year before Willy Wonka), but that's a little hard because I have to make everything in the costume, and with only the materials I have. I either was to be like a knight/prince, cinderella herself or one of the evil stepsisters. I need to, 1) figure out which one to be, and 2) think of how I would make the costume.

If I was to be the knight I could do it with cardboard and tinfoil, but my real problem is if I'm going to be Cinderella or the Stepsister, because I don't exactly know how to make a dress. So, any suggestions are great!
