1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Lots and lots of good cardboard? on: August 29, 2007 11:41:49 PM
I think I'm ready for a fairly large project, as I haven't really done anything amazingly crafty in a while. So when I came across some large pieces of cardboard, I started to brainstorm.
I have about thirty or forty pieces of long, not very wide and thick cardboard.
I haven't really been able to think of anything very creative to do with them, and that's where you guys come in! Any advice is welcome.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tickle Me Ernie = Eat Your Brains Out Ernie on: March 30, 2007 12:26:13 PM
Wow. Well, this is my first time posting something I've made. That's pretty insane.
Anyway;;;
Last year at a garage sale my mom got this really creepy 'Tickle Me Ernie' doll, and yesterday my dogs decided to chew it up.
My mom threw it in the garbage and I was all - Zombies in Sesame Street? That'd be awesome.
Anyway;;;
Here he is.

His BRAINS.

EDIT: I forgot to show the best part, he has a hand coming out of his right butt-cheek. I'll post a pic later.
Hope you like him!
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Harry Potter Craft/Movie watching party, I need ideas! on: May 07, 2006 03:46:27 PM
I am having a Harry Potter party with some of my friends. One of them, who moved to a new house a few months ago, I have not seen for a long time. So this party needs to be special. I would love it if any of you guys could give me ideas of things we could do during the party.

Some of the ideas I have come up with so far are:
Making buttons (like, I vote Cedric Diggory/I vote Herry Potter pins that we could wear)
Watching the movies
Making scarves, although not everyone knows how to knit and it would take a while...
Decorating t-shirts
Making some the treats that are mentioned in the books ((Yumm!))

That's about all that I've come up with.
I would love any further ideas!  Cheesy
Thanks!
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Likely My Last Halloween Costume... Need Good Ideas. on: October 15, 2005 05:54:20 AM
Wink This could be my last (trick or treating) Halloween and I need good costume ideas!

I was thinking I'd be someone from cinderella this year (I was Peter Pan last year, and the year before Willy Wonka), but that's a little hard because I have to make everything in the costume, and with only the materials I have. I either was to be like a knight/prince, cinderella herself or one of the evil stepsisters. I need to, 1) figure out which one to be, and 2) think of how I would make the costume.

If I was to be the knight I could do it with cardboard and tinfoil, but my real problem is if I'm going to be Cinderella or the Stepsister, because I don't exactly know how to make a dress. So, any suggestions are great!
