1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: crochet dolls (seriously cute) on: August 12, 2008 05:40:32 AM
jessica.marie....its like a weave, the whole head isnt covered, just the important visible parts.

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: How much should I sell these for and other questions on: August 11, 2008 01:13:37 PM
Hmm, i have this problem too sometimes...they are enjoyable things to make but you dont want them to cost a ton of money.  I would say between $3-$5 depending on size.  Your material will certanly be covered by this and they seem quite small and easier and faster to make the more you do (right?) Ithink that sounds pretty fair for handmade cuteness.
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / what do you think about prices for crochet dolls? on: August 11, 2008 01:03:28 PM
I have been trying to sell these dolls but have had more luck with the pattern.  I was wondering if the doll is priced too high? (the dolls are $40 each, they are nine inches tall)
I never sold one made with this pattern (i did sell two that were $30 and my first test dolls that didn't come out exactly how i would have liked) and they were posted for the 3ish months etsy has.  I haven't re listed because i am taking some time and making some new stuff to begin again in Sept after my oldest son goes back to school.

to monkeythumb...the hair is like latch hook but i stitched a row around the whole hairline so it would be solid. on the inside i did it like latch hook around each crochet (quite tedious but i like how it turns out) the hair is in a permanent style because there would be so much hair if i hooked every crochet with a strand of yarn.  they are partially bald under the ponys.

i wish i could find some small black safety eyes...so if anyone knows somewhere that has them....

i havent written the pattern yet....

and thanks for the great feedback!

7  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / Re: Worcester? (Esp. Clark craftsters!) on: August 27, 2007 12:25:38 PM
Don't forget about HBML (happy birthday mike leslie) on pleasant street.  Yeah, kind of a junk shop, but if you like to re craft things, unusual things thats a good place.  and in september 17th  theres stART on the street! ( i used to live in worcester and try hard to find time to craft)  my town actually has a needlework/knitting/crochetting group that meets at the library every week...check out some of the local libraries...

I live an hour from NH and used to live there and also would love love love to learn how to spin.  (maybe then my dream of owning sheep wouldn't sound so ridiculous to my husband)
