2  Burlesque costume for a vintage country girl routine in Costumes: Completed Projects by drag0nmuse on: October 12, 2010 01:10:13 PM
I made a burlesque costume for a group routine that was a country cutie theme. I had to make three of these outfit and this one is mine. I can't say I am 100% happy with the red satin bra part, I plan to make a new one next time. I made the red satin bra, the ruffle choker, gingham skirt, and the bustle. While I didn't make the bra I did add the sequin trim to it.  We ended in heart pasties and red ruffle panties!!!

3  *warning undies* Cherry print bra-let and open bottom girdle in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by drag0nmuse on: August 24, 2009 03:24:44 PM
excuse the pudgy tummy here but I am working on making cute girdles for everyday wear. I love wearing stockings and most garter belts now just don't flatter me or don't stay up! So I am making mine own! Sorry for the kinda sucky pics.

4  Green bustier top! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by drag0nmuse on: July 24, 2009 06:25:42 AM
Here is a mint green and black lace bustier top I made for an up coming burlesque show. I took apart an old bustier that was close to what I wanted. Used it to start the pattern and then put this all together with just my serger and home machine. I am so happy with how it turned out! The next one will be even better!  Also today I am making a gridle skirt that will match and will post that as soon as it is done.

SO you can see this is what it looks like before the cups were set into the top.

Here is with just the cups but not underwire casing yet

and this is all done! I just need to cut down the underwires to fit!

excuse that fact that these pictures are not great but I hope to have much better ones after this weekend.

5  Corsets, 32 yards of tulle and brocade! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by drag0nmuse on: February 25, 2008 08:31:50 PM
So my most recent burlesque costume was born from a mardi gras theme, and a nice outfit that I can use for less themed bits.

super cool and festive...are those polka dots?!

very cool silhouette

It has tiny little dots, but it kinda of the weird diagonal diamond pattern. Here is a better picture of the fabric.

9  Boobrang or non underwire bra in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by drag0nmuse on: July 24, 2007 09:55:33 PM
So I am here to bring you another thrill bra! This one was totally done out of this fabric as a whim. I kinda not sure how the shorts got made, I think they are a circle skirt pattern but with a crotch. I didn't make that pattern my hubby did.

More of my tattoos too for those who care.

I swear I haven't gained as much weight as it looks like here! Bad lighting!

I used http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6436051  as my pattern.

10  Re: Another bra, you guys know the drill :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by drag0nmuse on: July 11, 2007 06:20:21 PM
WOW! You guys really know how to make a girl feel loved! So here we go another round of questions to answer. Here is the link to the pattern I used..  http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6416985

I have also heard that they will be coming out with a bra in the bag that will come with all the bits you need. Also if you end up buying the pattern be sure to ask about underwires, hookes, and straps if you don't have them yet. I  have been told they too will be up shortly along with the bra in the bag.

lil_abi  if you use this pattern you will be just fine! I am a 32 F. Which is about 3 cups larger then a D cup.

This bra is an underwired bra. They do infact make underwires in many sizes. Really they go as high as a bra size can go.  Now the pattern many seem pricy to some but really it is worth every penny. I for one can not find a bra to fit me under 40 bucks, and since bras tend to be worn on with in a year if you are wearing the right size. A worn out or poor fit bra really can hurt. It will cause scar tissue and  that can turn into breast cancer.  So for 50 bucks you can make as many bras as you can find fabric for.

And now to my lovely lovely ink....

There are about 6 more stars you can't see in this image. I have a total of 15. And yes I made that bra too.
