22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Stuck in the 50's on: August 23, 2004 06:03:10 PM
Thanks to your lovely input I made a hot skirt to go with my sweater. Made from scraps found in my mom's fabric box. I'm wearing it Thursday for picture day w00t!  Cheesy Now all I need is something for my hair.

[shut up and give me pictures]

23  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / I need [to make] skirts on: August 21, 2004 01:33:38 PM
I bought this adorable kinda vintage looking sweater today, but couldn't find a skirt to go with it that I liked. So I thought I would maybe make one. Right so the sweater looks somewhat like this:

<<removed link to broken image>>   slightly off white

So I was wondering what style/colors would go with this type of sweater. Any help is appreciated.
24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / HEY KID, she's a band-whore. on: August 08, 2004 02:26:16 PM
Yes I am.

Right so, the lining is made of a t-shirt my brother wanted to throw away. It's based on FBTMOF's new song [the title of it written in the lil IM screen].
p.s. excuse my mis-matched clothes, it's laundry day Cheesy

Pocket. I really messed up the lining near the flap so I won't show you that. But it was bunching up and all, no one can see it though.

I re-enforeced this thing like crazy. I doubt it will be able to hold all my school stuff. [I posted on Livejounral too, if you've happen to see it already.]
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Shrinking clothes on: August 04, 2004 05:26:01 PM
There are a few items that I am not satisfied fit-wise, and also womens underwear doesn't fit me  Sad. I was thinking about trying to shrink them. This sounds hilarious, I'm sure, but I'm being serious. Should I let the items soak in hot hot water, or are there other ways of doing it, or am I possibly screwed?
26  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / When watery paint goes bad. on: July 31, 2004 12:05:55 PM
I just finished a tee. The stencil was very difficult to cut out, and I actually lost it when I tried peeling it off the shirt...to my horror I found that the paint had bled in the bottom corner over the character's face.  Cry

I've already tried to bleach it, but it didn't work. So should I try more bleach or should I make it duo-toned and paint the insides different colors to hide it?
27  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fashion Tips Baby! on: May 28, 2004 01:27:56 PM
I've had this idea for a while. It's my "groupie" bag. I'm a band slut so of course it's Fear Before the March of Flames. Turned out rather well except for the fact that before I sewed the lining together I accidently cut it on the side (making it a little too short), and being the lazy person I am, I wasn't going to cut more lining. That is why there is a "punk" safety pin on the side.

It's made out of an old t-shirt my brother had. I used jordy's tutorial.  Cheesy

Zebra..well it was supposed to be. I didn't do the detail of the stripes. Maybe I'll paint them on ..one day.  Undecided

I doubt people will know what it is unless they listen to the band.
28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Band shirt and a plaid pleated skirt on: April 14, 2004 01:48:26 PM

Band shirt.

Designed by me.

Screened by my friend Sarah.

The back's lettering says "I'll eat your heart out." It's from one of their songs. Sarah messed up the screening on the lettering, but it's ok, it makes it look kinda neat-o. Sadly, this shirt won't be worn because my mother thinks it is "too violent" and that I'll get sent home. I won't.

And here is this cool side tie pleated skirt that I made without a pattern. It was a little big so I have to use a safety pin to keep it from falling off my hips.
29  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Eyeshadows on: March 20, 2004 06:36:57 PM
I'm a fan of eyeshadow, but I can't seem to find a bright red color anywhere  Undecided. So being my handy dandy self, thought maybe I can make some and save some money and time.

Is there any tutorials for making eyeshadows? Has anyone tried before?
30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / MORE ROBOTS! on: February 28, 2004 08:52:15 AM
For some crazy reason I've been obsessed with robots lately. So I decided to make a bag with a robot on it.

http://img11.photobucket.com/albums/v35/Handguns&Romance/Projects/inside.jpg
http://img11.photobucket.com/albums/v35/Handguns&Romance/Projects/pockets.jpg

Sorry about my angles and all, it was hard to hold the camera and get inside shots. The only thing I wasn't happy with was that my robot didn't look like a robot and the stitching at the top looked really bad (hopefully no one will notice).
