that definitely looks like the kid from malcolm in the middle!  Check Vogue, I've seen a floor length version of this dress.

ditto on the sitting question!  does it just bunch up around your lower back so you can't use the back of a chair or what?  OH and both exhibit excellent sewing abilities, very impressive!

I agree with PinkyK.  If I were on the show, knowing nothing of mens wear, I would've stuck to something that's do-able.  Also, how did they not know how to make men's pants??  They're easier than women's, men's pants drape instead of fit like a lot of women's pants.  Lastly, How the heck did Eliza hand sew all of that? (didn't she say she only handsews?)

Oh gosh!! These are just stunning.  I hope I can make things even half as cute as those dresses for my future kids!

First of all, the dress is gorgeous!

I have also run into that problem with newer patterns.  If you get patterns from the 70's or earlier they're often a tad (less than an inch) smaller, which is sometimes too tight b/c the clothes are already designed snug.  The best solution I've found is to measure the actual pattern and compare the measurements and locations w/ your own measurements.  Good luck!

I guessed that Eliza would stay.  Anyone who watched tonight would watch next week's just to find out what Eliza's going to say next. "I'm just going to hand-measure you" .... mmmm, i've heard of eye balling things before.

It's a mild 50 something degrees fahrenheit here and I've got it paired with thick tights and little ankle booties.  You should definitely keep it a dress and wear it year round!  Another option would be wearing the dress w/ skinny jeans and flats.  The key to pulling it off is since it is a dress, keep the legs accentuated so you're not swamped in a bunch of fabric.  Hope this helps you transfer the dress into winter wear!  Cheesy

I love audrey hepburn.  What about studying her style and then modernizing it?
