1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Faux Nubuck Jacket on: January 04, 2007 10:15:19 AM

I made this jacket out of a PVC Nubuck that looks just like leather and feels great on.  Here are more details and pics.

Thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Eugenia Kim's - Saturday Night Hat - Book Review on: November 10, 2006 01:09:52 PM

Eugenia Kim, milliner extraodinaire, whose career took off after she fashioned a red-feathered cloche to hide a botched haircut, has written a book -- Saturday Night Hat (available December 5, 2006), that contains fifteen hat how-tos and fifteen trim how-tos that cover the basics of millinery. This book is filled with illustrations, easy-to-follow diagrams, and photos of her whimsical Deco-inspired creations such as:

The Beret (I'm doing this one first!)
    The cloche
    The cocktail hat
    The Pillbox
    The Fedora
    The Newsboy
    The Sun hat

I don't know about you, but I'm a novice to hat-making (other than knitting or crochet) and there is a handy glossary in the back filled with hat lingo that clarifies everything. This is a fantastic way to accessorize Fall/Winter sewing, knitting, crocheting that will make you a hard act to top!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Style Jacket on: October 11, 2006 01:41:53 PM

I used McCall's 5007.  I chose a stretch corduroy for the fabric and a black/white polka dot charmeuse for the lining.  More details here.
4  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / DKNY Dress on: August 06, 2006 11:30:27 PM

This is Vogue 2900, DKNY dress.  I believe that this dress was part of the DKNY Spring 2005 collection even though I couldn't find a picture of it.  The same fabric that was used on the bias cut version on the pattern envelope is also used in that collection.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My Jersey Wrapdress on: August 06, 2006 11:27:38 PM

This is my spin on the jersey wrapdress.  I liked this one because of the asymmetrical hemline, plus it has a very 70's disco-era feel to it.  BTW, this is Vogue 7898.  Just wanted to share... off to Studio 54!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Michael Kors Tunic - VK Spring/Summer '06 on: April 19, 2006 04:28:43 PM

This is #15 from the latest issue of VK.  I used Berroco Touche (around 16 hanks) instead of the very, very pricey Classic Elite Posh.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Tube Toporini on: April 13, 2006 08:04:40 PM

This is the pattern that I used:  http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/1810966#image_1
This was very simple and quick knit worked on Size 7's.  For more details, check out my blog:  http://boundbymyhook.blogspot.com/2006/04/regularly-scheduled-knitting-has-been.html
