1  multi strand math help! in Beads: Discussion and Questions by fromvenuswithlove on: October 28, 2008 01:31:27 PM
Hi guys,
I'm planning on making that necklace from the opening scene in breakfast a tiffany's, the six strands of pearls with the diamond centre piece (only i'm going for four stands of plastic 12mm pearl beads and using a vintage brooch).
The bit im battling with is how long to make each strand, as they get longer further out.  How do i work it out, I know trial and error could be a goer but i'm a little pressed for time.  Help!

3  buttony brown sailor shorts in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by fromvenuswithlove on: February 08, 2008 05:58:37 PM
Here's my first go at the shorts pattern from burdastyle.com
i learnt that i should really pre-wash my fabrics for shrinkage no matter how excited i am about getting started *sigh*
Also i chickened out on the pockets and im still undecided about a good length (i thought the cuff would sorta cut my legs and make em look shorter), but i must say the one step button hole on my machine is amazing!
sooo any opinions, hints and tips would be awesome

4  vodka lamp in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fromvenuswithlove on: October 01, 2007 12:47:18 AM
oh look theres an ordinary bottle of vanilla absolut sitting on a pile of coasters

but when the lights go out it transforms......

This is probably the bestest way ever to make pretty bottles into lamps it doesnt involve any scary glass drilling, or electrical wiring, soldering or anything ... just glue, scissors, cardboard coasters, dot light (little led thingy you can get from supermarkets) and a pretty bottle
i wish i thought of it first so heres the tute i used
