1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: 17 rings on: September 13, 2006 07:09:21 PM
Thanks Grin

They don't stretch, I use berkley fishing line to make them.
They are pretty comfy, when I first started making them I didn't think be comfortable but surprisingly they are. I always use small beads for the band so they don't annoy the fingers.

Thanks for the compliments Grin
I spent 100's on the beads and had a heap left over. The crown is probably around $600AUD somewhere round there.

I made this for an Australian swarovski competition. Didn't get through to the finals but still had fun making it.
Every bead is swarovski, with sterling wire

I know, there's a spelling mistake in there  Roll Eyes

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Blood Sacrifice to the Black Flower on: September 11, 2006 11:19:38 PM
It makes me think of a tribal ritual, hence the name.
Snowflake Obsidian donut and rounds, stone and jet czech fp's, garnet swaro rounds and jet swaro bicones, and there's a little swaro crystal ab disc under the flower.

 Smiley :)Thanks guys

I got the spikes from here... http://www.beadhouse.com.au/  I got from the shop though, I found them hidden in amongst a heap of other bits and pieces. I can't find them on the site.

This is a small piece I made for a Gothic Valentine beading challenge on another forum.
A plain glass heart surrounded by a cage of czech firepolish and rondelles with some pewter spikes. I quite like how it turned out in the end, I think I captured the gothic part pretty well.  :-D

I used rose alabaster and light sapphire bicone swaros with light sapphire swaro sliders and light olive czech glass pearls.
