I'm all about Hancock fabrics up at Burning Tree Plaza. They have some really good sales, like when the entire store is 10 to 20 % off... that's when I bought my dress form. They also have a good selection of yarns and stamps, even diy furniture kits. Pretty sweet.
When I'm there, I always have to stop by Plato's closet, where there is the occasional crafty reconstruction waiting to be found. (I'm primarily an apparel crafter.)
Michael's craft is o.k., if slightly overpriced and underwhelming for my taste. I'm still glad to know it's there, and stop in on occasion.
I've developed a thrift store phobia... I'll tell it to you sometime if you're interested.
F.Y.I. There's a new sewing/ crafting store open up the hill, it's got Viking in the name... Viking crafts, maybe? A lady at Hancock recommended for an item they didn't carry. You gotta support the little guy when there's the option, right? (I haven't actually been in there yet, it was closed at the time.
Great thread... Go Twin Ports crafters!!! We will find our wares and craft them into dresses and sock monkeys, and anything else we feel like!!!
