1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: just an apology on: March 16, 2006 11:21:17 AM
Thanks libragirl,    The dress is wicked cute & Ive almost made it a few times.  Maybe Ill try to build a booby holder for that specific dress.   With lots of lycra & elastic Cheesy.

jenny

Definately make the dress!!! The one that I made from the cream knit with the cherries fits sooooooooo well.  I am franticly search for more vintage knits to make it from. It hugs the right spots and just skims the not so great parts!!! I made it from knit so that it is a "pull on" dress instead of a zippered one. perfect for summer easy dressing.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Craftster segregation on: March 15, 2006 09:47:51 AM
I was a bit afraid to post any sort of opinion about this before....but here goes nothin....
I love the other boards on craftster....I like to craft but my thing is sewing and recons....On the other boards there are many talented YOUNG women who are making things to fit their bodies, great I say. But no one wants to see me in a cheerleader mini !!!! This board is the first time I feel like a part of the community.

This board is much more welcoming and I think it is because when you share the same issues with others you are more drawn to thier creations because you know that they make things that are going to also look good on you. Grin

Thank you so much for posting this and you tute!  I've been wanting a pair of these fro areally long time and now I have them at a fraction of the cost.  Here's how mine turned out.  I had to super glue the sweater to the shoes but I think it worked out!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question about Dresses on: March 12, 2006 03:20:34 PM
Thanks you guys...My "problems" are my stomach, thighs and arms, in case that helps.

If arms are an issue a simple a-line dress with a shrug from a t-shirt(lots of recon ideas on craftster for that) is a cool summer look.

The section is primarily clothing related...not crafts.

how comfortable are you with patterns that you can download? If you are super comfortable here is a cute one
www.fitzpatterns.com

it is called the "katia shrug" under the free patterns

I have that dress pattern too.  I have yet to make it though. Im hoping it will be supportive enough for the girls Grin.    Anyway the number is Simplicity 4581.   Id love to see pictures if anyone else has made it.

Jenny
I just tried it on and decided that I need to get a halter bra or some kinda duct tape contraption to make my boobs look less gravity struck in this dress[/font
