i made the mooninites purse/bag for a friend and got tons of orders for the same thing.

i'm not too farmilliar with the show, but i'm guessing everyone loves the mooninites... or at least all the girls do.

If you're still looking for craft shows and the like, there is the Ionia Street Market for the next two saturdays downtown (on Ionia) at the Heart in the Park Park.. lol

Anyway, its only $10.00 to vend. I went last week and although business was very slow (it was labor day weekend) i still made about $45 over my vending cost.

and i do like the beads, i'm not for much fuss either, but i think it adds the perfect delicacy and feminine touch.

island-princess- i design my site myself... but i'm not happy with it and the lovely hope from paper-scissors-soul is helping me out with that soon.  Grin

and I didn't follow any tutorials for the wallet, its just a little design i came up with that was going to work for my needs.

appliques are a lot of work, but i totally enjoi doing them. its so amazing the things that can be created! thanks for all the kynd words!

so, i've been looking at amy butler fabrics lately, but i'm not too fond of the prices. I was at the fab shop the other day and found this great deco fabric and its kind of like the amy butler prints, but this was only $1 a yard! woohoo!

here's what i fashioned out of it.

the felt applique i'm still a little unsure of. im just not certain i like it. there's a big pocket on the front and it snaps close. i'm still deciding on the purse closure, either a snap or funky button... hmmm  Huh

now, just what to do with it!!

thanks for peeking! Smiley

for felt appliques, i cut them out, then glue (with a glue stick) them where I want them on the fabric. Then, I straight stitch them on with a short tight stitch. I do this when I have interfacing on the back of the fabric, and my machine is okay with this, some are not. I do not use wunder-under with felt.

if you're doing fabric appliques and need some help, let me know, i'm pretty good with those too.

I do sell purses like this and take custom orders  Wink Wink
