21  Pretty in Pinks Pillow - pic heavyish in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 24, 2008 03:48:56 PM
Taking a break from purses, I made a new pillow! I have this really cute German duck/tree fabric that I only had some scraps left of and I found a way to put them to use. The strips are inter-woven together and finished with some super soft pink felt.

I really like the way it turned out for my first try. What do you think?

22  Isabella Purse (possibly the cutest purse I've made in a long time!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 23, 2008 04:24:53 PM
I've been working quite hard on some purse designs lately and so far, this is one of my favourite designs. Plus, I just love how she turned out. I named the design Isabella after my dear friend Izzy who's been really supported of my obsessive sewing lately. woot.  Smiley

So, here she is.

(poor shot)

Pocket. There are 2 inside.

I've really been into greens lately.

23  Spring Purse for a pretty day in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 22, 2008 07:51:44 PM
It was so gorgeous here today. The sun was so warm and sunset held off longer than usual. I'm hoping spring will be here soon and it inspired me to make a springy colored purse.

It's more of a small tote really. But the colors really pop against the dull winter hues outside.

The front strips of color are a large pocket and there's a pocket inside that I forgot to photograph. It snaps at the flap and has a handmade matching button.

Spring anyone?  Smiley

24  My morning made handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 22, 2008 01:25:49 PM
I just finished this handbag this morning. I really like the way it turned out too. The polka dot fabric seems popular today!

I really like the burgundy/pink colors lately!

25  New Matryoshka Doll Pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 22, 2008 12:04:29 AM
I've been crafting hard these past couple of weeks and I just wanted to share one of my favorite creations so far.

I've been collecting matryoshka dolls here and there and wanted to create something in their image, so I made a pillow! I know that the general color palette for these dolls are primary colors, but I wanted to use up some pretty pink fabrics I had and make her seem very sweet and pretty. I like her.  Smiley

Meet Onya.

She's covering a 16x16 pillow form.

Comments and constructive criticism appreciated!

27  Silly kitty hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: January 14, 2008 01:13:39 PM
I just saw the circle kitty hat post and thought I'd share the hat I made my kitties too!

I was crocheting some toys with some left over scraps and decided to make my kitties a new hat.

This is Bobo who is very unhappy with mommy's new creation.

And here is the hat by itself.

My other kitty was mortified and ran for cover when I put it on her.  Roll Eyes

And it actually stays on really well because of the ear holes.

28  The lovely Miss Lulu Heartstrings in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by seaofstars on: January 14, 2008 01:03:55 PM
I just wanted to share a few shots of my generally very camera shy kitty Lulu. I found her playing in the sunshine that was slipping in through the curtains.

This first shot I really love. It's such an interesting close up.

And this one is just cute. She's still growing into her ears.  Tongue

I'd love to know what you think.  Smiley

29  Chevron Pillow in Crochet: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: January 14, 2008 12:46:48 PM
I'm fairly new to crochet and I'm trying to branch out a bit and do more than just hats.

So, since I've recently moved into a new house, I'm decorating! I made this chevron pillow and am working on a few more. I'm proud.  Tongue

and my kitty lulu claiming it for her own.

30  Yummy new hat! in Crochet: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: January 11, 2008 05:26:06 PM
So I've been seeing a lot of these hats around and decided to give it a go and come up with one of my own. I've made a few so far and this is my favourite due to the yarn.

Blue Sky Alpaca... yum.

I'm a sucker for snoods so I wanted it to be someone like one.

What do you think?
