11  Penny Bunny in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: February 14, 2008 05:32:25 PM
I really wanted to make an Easter bunny last year, but I never got around to it, so I started really early this time around.

This is my first Doll, so please be gently on me! I certainly need to tweak the design a bit, but I still think she turned out ok.

There's more info about her on my blog.

I'd love to hear some tips and tricks if you'd like to share.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Valentines Day.

12  Hi HI Birdie Pouches in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: February 14, 2008 02:31:32 PM
It's not "Bye, bye Birdie" this time of year... it's "Hi, hi Birdie!" (Cheesy or what!?  Tongue

So I've made a few springy zipper pouches with pretty birdies on them. I wasn't too sure about the strip across them at first, but I think it's growing on me now. What do you think? Think they'd be better without the strip?

13  Bright Blue Sky hat, with dorky pics! in Crochet: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: February 13, 2008 10:04:38 PM
My Mister's awesome friend made me a wooden chain with a basket on the end that contains a free moving ball. It's amazing. And all carved from a single stick of wood. You can see pics of it on my blog. So cool!

Anyhoo... In return, I made his girl a hat and purse. I had this insane road trip a few days ago so I had plenty of time to come up with something new! Most of our trip was white-out with snow, but I finished this when the sky cleared, hence the name.

So check it out!

sur ma tete!

and just for fun.  Tongue

I was really sad to part with it, but I'm getting ready to make one for myself.
What do you think about the red/blue color combo?

14  Springy Song Bird Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: February 11, 2008 03:48:52 PM
I have been holding on to this juicy burgundy colored corduroy and was finally inspired to use it today. So, I made a song bird messenger bag! I love how the applique turned out. I added two pockets inside and a few buttons near the straps for extra cute.  Smiley

Does this bag look burgundy on your screen or more red? This is such a tough color to photograph.  Undecided

15  Pretty Blushing Brown and Pink Handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: February 11, 2008 11:29:18 AM
I swear, I never have enough room in my purse for everything I think I need, so I came up with a nice and roomy handbag. The brown is a heavy weight cotton or wool of some sort, it's vintage so I'm not quite sure. I love the pink retro-repro cotton.

I added two pockets inside and one on the back with an applique.

Like the pink and brown together?

Here is my new favorite creation. I found this fantastic red vintage fabric (I've been so lucky with thrifting lately) and had to pair it with fruitties!

Purse:

with vintage buttons on sides

Matching Wallet:

*After looking at this, I'm starting to wonder if the pictures make the purse look funny. What do you think?  Huh

18  Re: Isabella Purse (possibly the cutest purse I've made in a long time!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seaofstars on: January 27, 2008 01:07:33 PM
Thanks for the lovely compliments!  Smiley

This purse sold on etsy the 2nd day my shop was open, so I was very excited!
I've been working on more purses and although pink isn't for everyone, I really like how this one turned out. I'm really loving pink lately.  Huh

Her name is Isabella Jane.

Too much pink?

19  new crochet hook organizer in Crochet: Completed Projects by seaofstars on: January 27, 2008 12:44:20 PM
I made a crochet hook organizer!
There's two rows for hooks (didn't take an action shot) and the flap folds over to keep them in. obviously. lol.
It's trifold and I like how it turned out. What do you think?

These are my little ladies! They're actually kind of tedious to make because of all the hand detailing, but I really think they're worth the time. I think Tamya has my favorite face.

Let me introduce them all! (I name everythingWink

Romona:

Lora:

Tamya:

And Mareah: (my first little one)

What do you think? I'd be grateful for some constructive criticism.  Smiley
