1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My wedding dress on: October 22, 2004 12:06:07 PM

I just got married on October 3rd and spent every Saturday from February til August designing and making my wedding dress.  It's silk satin with Swarovski crystal banding on the hem of the skirt and bodice and Swarovski crystals and beads on the top of the bodice.  I used metal D-rings for the loops in back and 2 layers of silk chiffon for the lacing, with more crystals at the base.

I also made this Vogue dress as another dress for the reception.  Just a warning...the instructions are terrible and the pattern is drafted incorrectly, so it took a LOT longer than expected!  I think it was worth it though.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My Valentine's outfit on: February 20, 2004 10:59:05 AM
I designed and drafted the skirt myself and used a Simplicity pattern in matte jersey for the top.  I really like how it turned out!

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A purse I made for my sister on: February 13, 2004 07:28:05 PM
This is a purse I made for my 15 year old sister a couple of years back.  She wanted a white purse, but she didn't want it too plain.  She chose the lining fabric.  I scanned one of the flowers on the fabric and used a digitizer to create an embroidery design from it.  Got some thread that matched the lining and stitched it on the white outer fabric.  It's from a Simplicity pattern, if I remember correctly.
