Ive made a couple of these. I dont measure the strips, I just guess. Its so puffed up that you cant tell anyway

I was at the Mililani Walmart today and saw a couple different bamboo handles. One was all bamboo and the other was kinda like bamboo beads...anyway, I think they were around $6 but I could be wrong about that!

Ive found some websites that show how to make your own out of plaster or duct tape. I think I may try one of those...doesnt seem too hard! lol We'll see how it turns out... just good duct tape dress form or make your own dress form

I go to the one in Waipahu more since I live up here. I think Ive only been to the other one once. Its got everything like Goodwill. There is a fabric rack though and they have a ton of patterns and some other stuff if you get lucky.

Add Savers to the thrift store list! MUCH cheaper stuff than Goodwill. Also they have different color tags and every day they will have a 50% off color tag and a .99 color tag!

Oh I made a skirt like that from a sweatshirt! I wish I had the site that showed me how! Lemme see if I remember...

This is the directions using a sweatshirt...Im guessing with a big tshirt you could just cut from the bottom instead of using the long sleeves...

Cut the shirt under the armpits straight across

Cut sleeves (or bottom of shirt) into long strips.

sew 2 parallel lines the length of the strip. Make them loooose!

pull the strings on the ends and it bunches up the fabric into a ruffle.

sew ruffle onto bottom of skirt!
