1  Fleece bunting... in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: October 24, 2007 08:51:03 AM
...and it's not pink! I love having girls, but I'm soooo sick of pink. :oP

Simplicity 9148, size small, the sizes run HUGE. I love this pattern, it's super easy and quick to make stuff like this. Now she's gonna be all stylin' when we go fishing today. :-)

2  Fuzzy purple baby sweater in Knitting: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: October 23, 2007 08:07:15 PM

From the pattern found here: http://www.knitwits-heaven.com/pretty_baby_sweater.htm

Beautifully written, easy to follow pattern.

Yarn: TLC Baby Amore' (awful to knit with, lovely finished product.)
Size 10 needles.

I made the body 4 rows longer than the pattern specified but otherwise followed it exactly. The sweater fits my 2 month old wonderfully, with room to grow. And it took less than 5 hours from start to finish. :-)

Edited to add an action shot. The hat is crocheted, I actually made it before I made the sweater.

3  Quicky kid hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: October 11, 2007 06:32:05 PM

I just made this one up. 10 rows knitted, then 4 rows of purl, 6 rows of knit till the decrease at the top, then just decreased (k2tog) in 8 sections with a knit row between each decrease row.

Caron Felt-it in Neon (from my stash)
Size 8 circular needles, casted on 81 stitches, decreased by one before starting the first real decrease round but wanted an even number on each of 3 needles while I knitted. She's four but has a 21.5" head so this fits an adult too, she's just cuter than I am so I made her model it.

And yes, she's sitting in a laundry basket. Shocked)

4  Baby Hat in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: October 11, 2007 06:24:36 PM

Crocheted Baby Hat from Stitch & Bitch Happy Hooker
Size G hook
Stash yarn - white is Caron Simply Soft, pink is Red Heart acrylic

If I ever made it again, I'd do another row or two or double crochet and might make it a little bigger around too. It's supposed to be size 6 months, but runs a little small (baby is 2 months old and it just fits). I'm happy with it though, overall. Quick project too, I finished it in a day.

5  Couple of kid costumes in Halloween Costumes by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: October 06, 2007 04:50:45 PM

Simplicity 0634 - discontinued, bought it on eBay
Made of flannel with felt for the details. Added the udders 'cuz she wanted them, left off some other goofy accessories (who ever saw a cow with a neck scarf?) Gonna get a cow bell and attach it with rope around the neck.

Another Simplicity pattern, this one for a fleece bunting sleeper. Added the legs and antennae and altered the hood to fit more snuggly. Should've used a pink zipper but couldn't find one. It's a little big, but halloween's a month away and babies grow fast!

6  More Saartje bootees in Knitting: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: September 17, 2007 06:47:56 AM
All the ones i've seen have been so beautiful, i decided to knit a pair too.

and an action shot on my month-old daughter

They already barely fit. I think she has ginormous feet. I'll probably make the next size up too, as they were super easy and quick to knit.

Yarn: Paton's Grace
Needles: Size 1

7  Toddler sweater and some other FO's in Knitting: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: July 25, 2007 04:37:05 PM
Hi all. Shocked) I don't post often, but read all the time. Thought I'd post some pics of the projects I've finished in the past couple weeks.

A sweater for my daughter - so hard to get good pictures of it, but I love it. Unfortunately, she hates it. "It's scratchy" she says. She says that about everything long sleeved though - she prefers tanks year round. LOL

Close up of the front detailing:

The pattern is "Lace Sweater" from Adorable Knits for Tots by Zoe Mellor. Yarn is Lionbrand Wool-ease (I'm cheap.) Size 5 and 6 needles. FTR, the bottom row of lace around it was a pain in the butt! But really is a neat pattern once you get the hang of it.

A very basic baby hat for the new one due any day now. He/she will  be dressed all in white for his/her first outfit, and I needed a hat to match.

Caron simply soft, size 6 dpns, casted on 64 sts and just kinda made it up.

And a washcloth:

Used this pattern: http://thingsstitched3.blogspot.com/2006/10/leaf-patterned-spa-set.html
I've got a purple one and a green one finished. Gonna make another 3 or 6, all to match my bathroom. I'm loving the pattern - fairly simple, but engaging. And quick! Only about 2 hours to make a cloth.

That's it for now - thanks for looking. :-)

8  Edgar & Felicity in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: November 06, 2006 11:16:51 AM
My first crochet FO post here - I'm usually more of a knitter, but I can't help but love how quick crochet is. :-)

My 3 y/o daughter picked these li'l guys out of the most recent Knit.1 mag. They took about an hour each, and are a fun way to use up scrap yarn.

Thanks for looking.

9  Knit.1 Slit-sleeve sweater in Knitting: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: November 05, 2006 07:46:41 PM
My first knitted FO picture. Shocked) ---hoping it works!

The pattern is #29 from Knit.1 Fall 2004, the premier issue. I used Wool Ease T&Q on the size 13 needles called for. The result was about 1/2 way between sizes small and medium, and perfect for me. I would've done the sleeves in a larger size though if I'd known they'd be so tight. Other than that, i'm happy with it. Oh, and I should mention, this is my first sweater. It took about 4 days to complete.

Wow, umm, okay. I guess I'm not allowed to post pictures.

10  John Deere toddler sundress :o) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ItDoesntSck2BMe on: June 15, 2006 04:11:52 PM
This is the first pic I've posted - though I've been lurking for over a year now.

New Look pattern #6502 with a few mods, and John Deere fabric from Wal Mart plus some coordinating green stuff and voila! A sundress for my three year old. Shocked)

:::hoping I did this right:::
