I've only seen garlic the way it looks in the grocery store, that looks yummy. Smiley

That is a gorgeous dress, and yay for your Grandma Beth Smiley

I'm not that old (26), but when I was 17 no one had their dress made, or tried to make it themselves. I didn't sew, but I had a dream dress in mind and paid a friend of the family to help me achieve it (she did most of the work), and I was in the minority in my little hometown. It is wonderful to see people making/designing their own formal dresses, and other clothes, all over the place and showing them off on the internet.

I think it looks great, though it's hard to see in the last picture. I want to make one myself.

Wow, that's beautiful. Nice work!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: TARGET HAS $1 YARN (not just kits!) on: August 18, 2007 04:30:38 AM
I had two of the acrylic skeins kicking around for a long time. I don't have them anymore, I have a little hyperbolic plane model made with it. It's a very thin yarn, I think it's sport weight. Sorry I can't help you more.
8  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Clapotis from Knitty on: July 19, 2007 10:29:54 AM
It looks really nice. Smiley I like the flat shot.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: how do you let a muggle down nicely when they ask you to knit something? on: July 19, 2007 10:29:16 AM
My ex-boyfriend wants me to knit him Knitty's "kumo".

I just had a look at kumo. One of those sleeves alone would take a long time, let alone the whole thing.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Lemonade-short sleeved cardigan on: July 09, 2007 12:51:41 PM
I think it's beautiful. Smiley I bet Knitty would have done it if you submitted it on time.
