These are the most recent ones I've made 

This is my 3rd attempt at the this pattern (McCalls 5531). I sure need a little practice with plaids.. haha. I made it for a local fashion show/contest called "Fashion is Art" back in November. I also showed other projects that I've sewn in the past.

my sister modeled it at Fashion is Art 

it matched the boogie boards at the beach! a lined, simple, gathered high-waist skirt complete with zipper the fabric was from a pillow case that my gramma had made many years ago.

this is my second time trying this pattern. it's mccall's m5531. i didn't line it this time because it's fleece on the inside. the sweat pant fleece material was a dollar a yard at wal-mart! i'm am very unhappy to say that my wal-mart got rid of it's fabric section. did this happy to all wal-marts? anyway, here is my spring jacket!

i saw the preview for the hills from the corner of my eye.. i thought maybe i saw someone on there that had a coat with a bow on the back? maybe i'm imagining this.. i'll have to watch it to see. well, i was thinking of adding a de-tachable bow to the back!

this was inspired by Mooka Kinney's designs! i made it in december, and i honestly forget how i made it. i think it's pretty much a high-waisted, gathered skirt with some criss-cross suspenders. complete with a zipper! haha

this was a few sizes too large. i took it in and shortened it because it was to the floor!

knittheory: i made it the smallest size. it was a little snug so i fixed that by adding triangles to the arm pits. that's a whole other story.. haha i'd say go bigger because you can always take it in! for the pockets i added them on the side seams. i traced pockets from a pair of sweat pants. maybe this will help? haha if not don't be afraid to ask more questions!

i hope this is okay with the moderator that i am re-posting this. if not, please inform me. anyway, this is my little red coat. i did indeed wear it for halloween. but it is much more than a costume!
it's mccall's m5531, made of flannel and gingham. i even added pockets! button holes aren't as scary as i thought they would be.

okay it's not complete, but i was so excited that i had to post it. it's my halloween costume, but i will definately wear it wayyy long after halloween passes.






it'd made of red flannel and is fully lined with red gingham check material. i'm using mccall's m5531. it's still needs buttons and to be hemmed! i'll post the finished product and action shots at a later date
