5  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Linen tester on: April 20, 2009 03:09:35 AM
Hi

Does anyone know any shops in Sydney that sell linen testers? I'm looking for a bricks & mortar store, not an online one.

Thanks
Paula
6  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Re: Sewing Class on weekends - Sydney Inner West on: March 17, 2009 03:16:24 AM
Did you buy your sewing machine from a dealer (like Janome) or specialised sewing machine retailer (somewhere that just primarily sewing machine) or from a store (like Spotlight)?

Many dealers or sewing machine retailers will teach you how to use your machine and might offer private sewing classes. My suggestion would be to try and see what they offer, even if you didn't buy your machine from there.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi! I read somewhere on another forum that the Merrylands Spotlight has closed down, but was replaced with the new store at Auburn. I've been to the Auburn one as it is close to uni and I quite like it. It's the largest Spotlight I've been to, but they never seem to be that busy!  They have a large selection of fabrics from what I have seen (I haven't had to buy fabric from there), as well as a large selection of everything else!  So if you're ever out that way, I definitely recommend you check it out!
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Needle Size for DMC Perle Cotton 5 Thread on: October 22, 2008 12:36:09 AM
Hi

I was wondering if someone could help me. I just bought some DMC Perle Cotton 5 thread for a textiles assignment and some crewel needle, but I cant seem to get the thread in the eye of the needle.

What needle size should I use when using DMC Perele Cotton thread?

Thanks for your help

:)Paula
10  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Clear PVC Fabric in Sydney on: October 13, 2008 11:09:58 PM
Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get some clear PVC fabric suitable for sewing in Sydney? I'm needing it for XMas presents I want to make. Any websites would be good too.

Thanks
Paula
