I made my first ever 52 Reasons book for my boyfriend for Valentine's day! I'm not a very crafty person, although I always have creative ideas...so I am very proud of myself for doing this
This is the cover with Dave and I. A little note on the inside This one says you make me laugh and has cute little laughing monkeys. your Devotion to God...both of us are strong Christians and I met him when he volunteered at the church I work at. When I first met Dave (at the church) he had this creepy mustache that made me and my supervisor question if he should be working with children...when we started dating, he shaved it after our one month anniversary You're not afraid to show your affection for me in public (this is my favorite picture btw) Your devotion and love to your family. This is a picture of his brother with ironically a deck of cards You don't kill people in real life. (He's addicted to Call of Duty)
Ok, so I have a long list of people that I need presents for and I would like to make at least 50% of the presents. I can sew by hand a little bit (I don't have a sewing machine so anything too difficult couldn't be done), I can paint, I can draw (but last year I drew fruits for almost everyone, so I don't really want to draw something), I'm a good cook and I can make almost any meal/recipie. I CANT crochet or knit. My goal is to spend less than $100 this year on Christmas gifts. So heres who I have to make stuff for: My best friend: she's the sterotypical emo girl, 15 years old, loves music, although she doesn't have an ipod, and she sings and acts.
Boyfriend: He's an amazing pianist and loves music, goes to Juliard, likes the color blue.
Good friend, Kristen: Kristen has been my friend since we were little(4 years old) and we still are good friends. She likes music, color guard, plays the trumpet, and is obsessed with celtic mythology.
Good friend, Joe: He is an amazing singer, who is involved in many chiors that are tough to get in to. He's 17 years old and he drives, although I don't think he owns his car, i think it's his moms.
My mother: She loves food, the color purple, and sitting around watching tv. I don't see her that often so I don't really know much else.
My father: He's a computer software developer. He loves a lot of different types of old music (Beatles, Monkees, Jethro Tull, Kiss, Dictators, Uriah heep...and a lot of other bands) He loves food, but he's on South Beach and can't eat a lot of his favorite things anymore.
My step-mother: She works at a doctors office as a secretary, she likes the color red, but hates orange. She used to make stained glass a lot, but doesn't do it anymore. I dont really know what else she likes since she kind of keeps to herself.
Yea, so that's all I'll give you, I wouldn't want to bore you with more names and descriptions lol. please help me with some ideas!!!!
I had this extra large mickey mouse shirt that was my dad's and I liked the picture of Mickey on it, but not the size or the way it looked on me. So I was going to make a halter...I ended up just making a tube top since I liked it like that lol. So here's some pics. I don't have a before pic, but you can guess what it looked like-=-itw as a big shirt.
And they were really ugly. I needed them for a theater production that I did but after the shows were over, I had spent $10 on a pair of extremly ugly shoes that i would never wear again...or so I thought. I don't have a pic of the old sneakers, but basically they were ugly old fashioned Keds...the kind they wore like in the 50s lol
But then...I had an idea... I bored and had a pack of colored sharpies next to my desk, so I reached over and started drawing hearts on my shoes. They didn't turn out too bad.
On my ugly feet
Yea so thats how they turned out...what do you think?
Has anybody used this? and does it work? I bought some the other day, and I need to make some shirts for me and my friends, but I spent a good amount of money on the shirts and don't want them to look bad....
My boyfriend and I recently started dating...but we've been friends for a long time. I really love him, but he's very difficult. He's very self-concsious about what people say about us. I don't want to get him anything big since his mom hates me and doesnt know we're dating and if she found out we'd both be dead. Knowing my boyfriend, he probably won't even take me anywhere for valentines day, or even get me anything...but I want to get him something small and sweet. What should I get/make?
I was thinking about making _______ in a box things for my friends. I want to make most of the stuff and spend about $10 on each gift. I can't knit/crochet at all. I can KINDA sew. I can kinda paint. So heres my friends and some stuff about them. What I want you to do is think of in a box things to make them.
KNA, the BFF and practically siamese twin- Likes music, doens't really care much about her appearance (doesn't wear makeup unless she has too, rarley straigtens her hair, doesnt care what she wears if its comfy), she is a great singer but is too shy to sing for people, she loves Fruits Basket (anime.), she has no free time, shes in color guard w/ me.
KMH, the BFF who i've known forever- she loves italian and country music, learning italian, laughs way too much, says stupid things, likes when guys who play trumpet shake their butt while they play, in color guard, and she likes the word BUSHIDO (samuri code chi chi).
JM, the 'goth' BFF- has a goth style, loves black and red things, in marching band, has a best friend who's a cat named Pinky. Says stupid funny things
AC, the cool quiet friend- shes quiet(and 20% deaf),loves her boyrfriend, shes kinda weird, she loves summer, and loves classic rock music.
CR-funny, easily amused, likes jewelery and bright colors
JM, the funny friend- Quiet, funny, loves music, sings, plays guitar, plays piano, girl crazy, is a volunteer fireman.
DL- he's jewish, dad's a rabi, plays an 8,000$ sax, loves his sax, shows off way too much
EF- Slutty, funny, loves makeup, clothes, and jewelery, loves guys
I'm thinking about having a Pink Ladies (from Grease) Party (an idea i saw from another post) for my 15th bday in January. I'll only have $100 to spend on this so things would have to be pretty cheap. I figured it would be a sleepover with 4 or 5 girls (if my rents let me have a sleepover) if we have a sleepover then we would: Watch Grease of course Make milkshakes and have a makeover contest Have a dance contest to oldies music.
I'd like some other inexpensive ideas...
If I can't have a sleepover, the party would be 3 hours long and there would be 8-12 people (possibly boys too) We'd watch Grease. and if I could make them, make Pink Ladies jackets as suveniors(maybe something that says Julie's Pink LadiesParty. 2006. Do you like that idea? or do you have any others?
And...if i have a party w/ boys there too, that would mean 3 hours, about 7 girls and 5 boys, $100 budget, all 15 and 16 year olds. I need ideas for another type of party since obvisouly pink ladies wont do well w/ the guys lol.
So what i need from you: ideas for a small Pink Ladies themed birthday sleepover ideas for a medium sized Pink Ladies themed birthday party ideas for a medium sized co-ed birthday party
