1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Plastic Canvas anyone??? on: February 24, 2006 11:37:47 AM
I'm hugely into plastic canvas and have been doing it for about 8 years (since i was 10).

Lately i cant find it anywhere, i can find the actual canvas but no new patterns. I've been able to find one store in my area that sells patterns, and out of curiosity i looked at the dates on the books, the latest one i could find was from 1992. I think i'm into a dying craft, at least in my area. Ive managed to find Annies Attic magazine from texas and got a subscription, but it would be nice to find somewhere to buy patterns closer to home (southern ontario).

Well, now that my frustrated rant is over....

I'm working on a doll house right now and might have it completed by the time my friends daughter is old enough to play with it (she's about 5 months old)

Does anyone else work with plastic canvas? What kind of stuff do you make out of it and what are you currently working on?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my prom dress on: December 26, 2005 05:27:46 AM
This is the prom dress I made for my prom last year.

When I started this I barely knew how to sew, and it took me over a year, but I'm so glad I made it.

I'm also interested in selling this. It took alot of work to make it and as of right now all it is doing is sitting in my closet gathering dust and I'd much rather see it worn at least more than one nite. If ne one's interested in buying plz pm me. I'm including all the jewelery, head peice, matching handbag and I belt that goes with it.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / dorm ideas on: December 17, 2005 07:34:29 PM
I'm gonna be off to college in Sept and more than likely living in residence. From what i've heard and read online there is little to no storage in dorms. I've been looking every where for inexpensive projects i can do that may add a little more storage to a small dorm room and i just cant find ne.

I was wondering if anyone had ideas for projects i could do, things that can help organize and decorate my dorm room. The theme i'm going with is based around fabric I found...

ne help would be greatly appreciated...
