23  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Re: Castor Beans, Don't Work on: January 30, 2006 06:01:22 AM
i was reading a site about 'strange uses for every day products" and it said one way to get rid of moles was to put kitty litter into the holes....its said the mole would smell its natural enemy and vacat the yard...not sure if it means to use fresh or used, though, lol.

the other one went along with the castor bean plant...but it said to take castor bean oil, put it in a spray bottle with some water and spray it on ur lawn around the holes.

hope these help, meg
24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Love Quotes on: January 22, 2006 07:02:51 PM
Here's an old scottish love poem by Robert Burns...

Ae Fond Kiss

Ae fond kiss, and then we sever
Ae farewell, and then forever
Deep in heart-wrung tears I'll pledge thee,
Warring sighs and goans I'll wage thee.

Who shall say that Fortune grieves him,
While the star of hope she leaves him
Me nae cheerful twinkle lights me,
Dark despair around benights me.

I'll ne'er blame my partial fancy:
Nothing could resist my Nancy
But to see her was to love her
Love but her, and love for ever.

Had we never loe'd sae kindly,
Had we never loe'd sae blindly,
Never met - nor never parted -
We had ne'er been broken-hearted.

Fare thee weel, thou first and fairest
Fare thee weel, thou best and dearest
Thine be ilka joy and treasure,
Peace, Enjoyment, Love and Pleasure

Ae fond kiss, and then we sever
Ae farewell, alas, for ever
Deep in heart-wrung tears I'll pledge thee,
Warring sighs and groans I'll wage thee.

What about this?
Simplicity 5124
or you could figure out how to make it from the pic.

I actually have that pattern, i'm using it for the closet stuff. All the things are pretty easy to back and fairly cheap since u can use broadclothe which is only about a buck something a metre.
29  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Leaky mug! on: January 02, 2006 08:11:13 AM
u could try putting a bit of duct tape on the bottom to cover the crack and just hope no one decides to look at the bottom....
