1  Bleached and Hand painted jeans- Koi fish in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by aoyuki_kitsune on: August 14, 2010 08:08:37 PM
This is my...fourth? pair of jeans done with bleach and dye markers. My uncle asked my to do a pair for his daughter, my cousin, and the only stipulation was there should be a peace sign somewhere in the design. Otherwise, I could knock myself out, do whatever I wanted. I loved the water in the mermaid jeans( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=244562.0 ) I did  a while back, but I wanted a more graphic and constructed overall look.

Hope you like!!

2  nude Angel Shirt for my uncle-bleach pen and sharpie markers in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by aoyuki_kitsune on: May 07, 2008 06:45:44 PM
This was an experiment on a tshirt, but the results were great.
The lighter color was achieved with a bleach pen, the darker coloration was done with dark blue and black sharpies.
This shirt was made for my uncle, who is being treated for cancer right now and needs an angel on his shoulder. The design is meant to look like the wing wraps around his shoulder, like she is holding on to him protectively.
The artwork was done by my sister, who also did the mermaid jeans in another post.

3  Mermaid jeans(sharpies and bleach pens ahoy!)Pic Heavy! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by aoyuki_kitsune on: May 06, 2008 04:33:53 PM
Since my mom is going to chilly Iowa for a few days, she decided she needed something fun and oceany to take with her(plus she wanted my sister to show off her mad art skills). So,she bought the jeans and a pack of Sharpies and told my sister to have at 'em.This is what she came up with.It took quite a bit of drying time with the gel bleach(done in several increments)and they also had to be washed in between bleach layers.None of this was planned out and was all just off the top of her head.Enjoy!! Grin

here's the links to the other pics to keep this from getting tooo pic heavy

4  embroidered felt bird ornaments and a X-mas gift for a friend*pic heavy!!* in Winter Holidays by aoyuki_kitsune on: December 08, 2007 08:42:27 PM
This year,my sister and I gave embroidering a try and decided to make these little birds.I'd seen lots of them floating around the internet and thought "Hey,we can do that!" and we did! I'm pretty proud of them since it's really our first shot at embroidery. The birds are gifts for a friend's mother and also for my grandmother. After we did the birds,we tried a few other things and made bunnies and skulls. The bunnies are going to one friend while the Calaveras wallhanging is going to another....sort of a weird thing to make for Christmas isn't it?

5  homemade wooden ouija board for a friend! in Halloween Decor and Parties by aoyuki_kitsune on: November 04, 2006 06:41:23 PM
Me and my sister spent a long time making this for our good friend Jessica for her birthday(didnt finish it till Samhain though)I believe its pine wood but Im not sure.We wood burned it with a text style we downloaded, burned in the patterns(found floating around the net(photoshop brushes I believe) and then stained it,put amber shellac on it and then finished it with the upholstery nails. The plancette is a red stained shapey thing from Micheals. We put the rampant lion overlaid with the Leo constellation on it because she herself is a Leo.

This is the first blanket I've ever made and was at it's completion, my biggest project ever(Im currently obsessing over a twin size throw that has grown to a full size throw). It's a baby blanket for my cousin's third child and first daughter Abby. When they get settled into there new home, I'll post a pic of Abby with her new blanky. It's about 3X3 feet and double crocheted in Simply Soft Quick white and pale pink.Im quite proud of it!!Yay me!!Normally I cant keep my mind in one place for 5 minutes so this was a real achievement.

This used to be one of those crappy laminated pressboard shelves before we re-did it.We painted it out with chalkboard paint first, and then I painted the various designs on it(my mom helped). It also has silver glaze on certain spots as well as metallic gold and silver accents. We gave it to my cousin's son Max.We thought he needed some whimsy. Hope ya'll like it!
