11  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Prepster!!!! on: July 01, 2006 08:11:49 PM
I seem to love all of the projects in Happy Hooker (More so than in the knitting books, even though I'm originally a knitter), and this is one of the ones that even if I don't make, I'll still adore from afar. Yours is beautiful, and I like that you did it in black, it seems classy.
12  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: HAH! i actually did it. on: July 01, 2006 08:05:32 PM
That is so cool. I love your color combo, especially with the skull.

Sorry to rephrase a question, but i didn't see an answer. Did you have to make any hook or gauge changes? Your skirt has inspired me to want to make it.

16  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stencils and inspiration.. on: April 03, 2006 05:01:10 PM
Hey, does anyone know what happened to the beckystencils one? I've been looking for it, but I guess it just disappeared.... Because it seemed like it had some good stencils on it, as I've been looking for fairy stencils and they seem to be far and few between.

Yeah, that looks really cool! And polished and all that good stuff.... so yeah, I think you could sell it.
18  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knitty's Tubey Knitalong :D on: January 16, 2006 06:28:46 PM
Oh no, Caron Simply Soft won't work? Hmm.... I never noticed it fuzzing on anything either, but oh well.  Undecided Does anyone know of any other cheap yarns that are soft? Because expensive is not really doable for me...
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Hat+ Simple Teddy Bear+ a question on: December 26, 2005 09:21:47 AM
Oooo, gingerbreadmen...that's a good idea.... too bad it'd probably have to wait until next year Cheesy.

Glad to hear that I don't really have to weave all those ends in! Thanks!
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Hat+ Simple Teddy Bear+ a question on: December 25, 2005 06:42:07 PM
First, the teddy bear. It was from a book, Kids Knitting I think. Something along those lines. A very simple pattern. Btw, please forgive my HORRIBLE camera skills, especially on the teddy bear. Pic is hugely inadequate.

Hehe, as you can see, it still had some ends needing to be woven in.

And here's the hat:

It's from the Yarn Girl's Guide to Kid Knits, or something like that. And in case you were wondering, yes, my baby cousin does have a big head, since evidently the hat can fit on mine too.  Smiley hey! It has a santa hat on! lol, I just noticed that.

My question was, since I carried the yarn up the side of the hat, and then seamed it, it has some loops of yarn going up the inside. Do I have to cut those and weave them all in, or not? And if so, what's the point of carrying yarn, because it's the same end product as cutting it?
