33  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Cigarbox or not?? on: September 11, 2005 11:11:23 AM
this is a take on something I saw on here some where. It was origionally done with a shoe box , but I thought that a cigar box would work better. You can see the glue is still wet.  This is the first one I have done, but it for keeping your "monthly" personal items near the toilet  Wink

thanks for looking , any comments greatly appreciated.
34  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 5 ENTRIES / Denim Hat (img heavy) on: August 22, 2005 10:28:57 AM
This is my first challenge entry I am so excited to be particpating. I made this hat from a pair of old jeans, I cut them up into strips and crocheted it. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a66/craftylady2/21aug2005037.jpg

It's pretty fragile because I cut some of the strips to thin,, but here is the finished product, if you can't tell there is a pom pom on top too!

35  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / I'm gonna share my idea! on: August 20, 2005 06:50:00 PM
first I wanna say that this site has really got my creative juices flowing!!!

My nieghbor just gave 52 , yes 52 skeins of yarn today and I made a joke to my kids that their halloween costumes will be something made  with yarn!! Well lo and behold I had an idea!!! I told my duaghter who is 4 that she is going to be a christmas tree made out of pom poms!! she will carry a present/box  for her goodies. Then I thought that I would make my son Santa Clause and do the "fur" on his costume white pom poms!and a yarn beard and wig.  I am so excited I could burst! i will so post pics when i am done. I am also glad i have 2 months to do it.
