1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Ceramic Plates?? on: June 26, 2009 12:25:59 PM
Hi Everyone!

A friend and I are on a mission to capture some spider webs.
We really want to capture them on black ceramic plates, but we were wondering what we could use to seal them so we could still eat off of them??

Any ideas??

By The Way..

capturing spider webs is a technique used to save real spider webs.

All you use is something with a black background and white spraypaint.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / boredom with knitting? on: November 26, 2008 10:53:09 AM
Hey just out of curiosity, do any of you have problems starting a project but NEVER getting around to finishing them?

I have about 6 baby projects I have started, just sitting in my knitting basket, that I can't seem to find the motivation to finish.

Even the fact that the things I am knitting are for my sister in-laws baby, which is due Jan 9th.

Anyone???

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet + knitting mix breed???? haha on: April 15, 2008 09:27:17 PM
Hello everyone.

I saw henri's post for her beautiful new summer tank top using the delicious stitches lillian tank top pattern (found here http://deliciousstitches.blogspot.com/2007/05/lillian-tank-top.html )

Well it got my little brain twisting and twirling. I know of ALOT of crochet patterns for lacey type stitches and I was wondering...

Is there a way to start a project using crochet then some how finish it using a stockingette knit stitch?Huh

What I mean is....if you look at the tank top the bottom has a very pretty lace type of design to it. I would like to incorporate a crochet lace stitch as the bottom part and a stockingette stitch as the bust.

IS THERE A WAY?

8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / my first amigurumi! on: March 30, 2008 03:01:42 PM
It has been a LONG time since I've picked up the old hook n yarn!

I have been knitting mostly lately but I just can't get over how cute amigurumi is!

SO i spent my day yesterday making this little octopus, they are so simple to make!

I didnt have any stuffed animal stuffing so I just used some foam from foam pillow to stuff him.

please let me know what you think.
