21  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: machine wont sew one fabric? HELP PLEASE! on: August 26, 2005 10:22:06 AM
It could be the thread tension, too. Is the fabric thicker or thinner than what you normally use?

its the same thread that i use all the time! thats why its so weird, im using a faux suade, would that make a difference? what shouold the tension be because i have it between what the book told me to do...(i taught myself how to sew so im not really sure of alot of the "technical" stuff)

26  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Re: Super duper high pattern prices! on: August 25, 2005 07:18:13 AM
i just like that, it all seems to be sooo exspensive! i find that the clearence section often has nice fabrics similar to the $30 ones(exagerating a bit) but walmart is a good alternative for some of it.

joanns is having a 13-hour sale on sat the 27th i think it is...at least they are by me...patterns for a dollar and lots of otherstuff

hope its the same near you

28  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Make Neck of Shirt Bigger? on: August 25, 2005 06:30:35 AM
or just cut a slit right in the middle front of the neck area on alot of shirts it look cute
29  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Marc by Marc Jacobs Bangles - Crochet? Help? on: August 25, 2005 06:16:16 AM
lilmisspink & groupie, i think it actually is some sort of string type material because if you look closely where the bangle curves around and it isa set against the background on the right side (does this make sense?) is looks to have some texture...as though it was woven or someting

i think its some string type stuff just wrapped around one way, goes therough the loop made before and then goes backwards...does this make sense...ill try making some and if they turn out nice ill post a tute...

i hope i made sense

my kitten sleeps right behind the sewing machine WHILE im sewing! she is so weird but never likes to leave my side, also if im making something with tulle ill always cut an extra strip because she loves it. sometimes she even likes to help me cut out fabric by holding it down for me, aka laying smak dab in the middle of it
