Hey, you-- awesome job!!! Did you grandma order the loom online, or did she get it somewhere local? Let me know... I must get my hands on one!!!

PS: were you around the VC area the other day? I thought I saw you  Cheesy
2  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: My proud little weaver :) on: May 06, 2007 11:48:37 AM
Wow! That looks so amazing, I'm totally inspired to buy a loom now. Can you make pieces as long as you want? Or are projects limited to the length of the loom?

He did a fantastic job, tell him to keep up the good work!

Bah-- sorry I haven't responded to anything on this thread... I suck at remembering when I make posts.

the noodle princess: I second what omg_word said: Stolen Sharpie Revolution is an awesome read, no matter what sort of zines you are thinking of making-- it's super inspiring. Also, if you are going the period route, maybe check this out: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=77621474

omg_word: Thanks! The really colorfull one is one that I made with some kids after watching puff the magic dragon. It was fun!

xhazeleyes01x: Yay for Puff, huh? Like I told omg_word, I made it with some kids after we watched the movie. They had such neat ideas about it! Also, Pissed Off was really fun to write, and it gets tons of... "surprised" reactions!

WitchCatXeen: Hey-- do you want me to send you some zines? I have a TON that I got from an online community, and I have read. I could send you a few of my favorites. We could even do a trade for something. Let me know!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pink leopard smashing pumpkins tee (suggestions needed please!!) on: January 13, 2007 07:59:10 PM
Awesome! I'm all about leopard print, seriously. What about adding lace along the top of the bust, sort of like this?

Some thick, black lace would look nice, be an inexpensive addition, and super easy to sew.

Good luck with whatever you do, don't forget to post pictures!
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap -- Gallery! on: December 10, 2006 04:38:09 PM

Why, who is this little fellow? He's so dashing and debonaire, like some sort of pirate or actor! And he bears a striking resemblance to Tobias Funke.

He is, however, none of those things! He is Tobias Never-Nude, everyone's favorite blowhard!

Thank you so much, anasbubbalu!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is AMAZING. Arrested Development is totally the best show ever, and Tobias is totally the man.

Awww.... I <3 AD.

Edited by rackycoo to remove double posting of photos. Please remember not to re-post any pictures. Thanks!
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Pepe the King Prawn on: December 10, 2006 02:14:24 PM
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH! That is totally the best thing EVER. Pepe is the man, and your representation is amazing.

I'm TOTALLY pressing the the "This Rocks" button.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lined/Zippered Scooter Bag on: November 25, 2006 07:21:37 PM
Adorable.

Magnets you say?

I'd be wary of that, as magnets can mess up your phone and any other electronic device. However, I'm sure you know what you're doing.

((Just trying to be sure you don't ruin anything in your quest to create your scooter bag))

I was going to mention this. Magnets can seriously alter the way electronics work (read: break them!), so be careful. What about industrial velcro? That stuff is pretty gnarly. You could stick one half to the scoot, and the other to the bag. Maybe?

Awesome work, I heart scooters! I'm looking into purchasing one myself... they are so amazing  Cheesy

I LIVE in Ventura, California. Fancy that, eh?

Sweet duds!
10  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Mustache Costume! on: November 24, 2006 11:58:37 AM

and it should also be noted that I am going to go to the party store very soon to pick up some adhesive mustaches, for the sole purpose of someday using this quote from rockfullofawesome: "I carry seven mustaches around in my glove compartment... just in case."

Oh my goodness, fishiegopook: you made my day. I laughed out loud when I read this! Just make sure to post pictures when you get your gear, alright?
