what should i charge for these and do you think they would sell?
they take me about an hour to 90 minutes to finish
supplies aren't too costly either, it's just a picky job

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Beanie Prices? on: February 06, 2008 09:05:38 PM
I know I should factor in the cost of material and time spent on this but I'm posting it for my mom.
She makes these pretty fast, they're pretty simple and I've thought they would look good with a little crocheted flower added onto the edge but anywho. How much would be a reasonable price for a chemo cap/beanie like this? I'm working on helping her along on Etsy but I don't crochet and I've never made a cap like this so I'm not much help. They're all different colors...mostly the same style but needle size used was roughly always the same. I've attached a pic which will hopefully display in this thread to give a little bit of an idea. Thanks a ton! Smiley

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Sort of related? Painted Sewing Machine on: July 20, 2007 07:32:27 AM
I couldn't find the perfect place to put this so this is the closest it gets. Is there anyway to paint a sewing machine and seal the paint so it doesn't get on fabric? Is it possible to do something like this without wrecking the whole sewing machine? Basically I've wanted a pink sewing machine forever and that's what I wanted to do but I'm not sure what paint would be best/ what sealer to use or if it's even possible. Thanks a bunch!

and a shot of her naked for good measure:
(sorry bout the size, my computer is all in french right now so i couldn't figure out how to resize it)

Lucky's a growing girl, I need to take new pics since she is close to 5 months old now and growing like a weed.
Now I present to you her sister Lily:

and Lily in a bought doll sweater:

Lily on the other hand is full grown and weighs about 4 pounds, vet doubts she'll get any bigger.
Well thanks for letting me show off my pride and joy...I think I'll go make more PJs for Lucky since God knows the little ones don't fit anymore!

Soo many great female musicians out there.
This wouldn't be a very involved swap so it would be good for beginners, there was a round 1 and it was awesome.
I could organize this swap if anyone is interested pleeease lemme know Wink
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Desperate Swap? on: July 31, 2006 09:26:08 AM

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Classic Stars Swap on: July 19, 2006 12:31:20 AM
Would anyone be interested in this?
I know I am not the only Marilyn Monroe fan on this board  Wink
We could pick our favourite classics Audrey, Marilyn, Clark etc and craft around that!
I'd loooove a Marilyn exclusive swap but I don't know how many others would be interested.

All together:

And now my hands are now mostly the color of Wilton paste dye in the color rose  Cheesy
I just used a basic recipe for both.
