Thanks a lot.  I'll check out the Vogue pattern when I finally get some cash, hopefully on Easter.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anthropologie Smart Aleck Skirt on: March 22, 2007 02:21:27 PM
Does anyone know of a pattern that would resemble this skirt?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone ever made M5232? on: December 25, 2006 08:13:04 PM
I can't seem to get the search function to work, and no reviews come up on patternreview.com, so has anyone made this?  I was thinking it could be a relatively simple dress for my Sadie's dance in February (I'm thinking I"ll make View A), and also, if you have, how do you think it would look on a sz. 12 body? Thanks!

6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Fake blood to put on paper? on: October 19, 2006 05:18:46 PM
I have seen pages here for fake blood for costumes, etc. but for a school project (that actually has nothing to do with Halloween but is focused on murder, so I thought this board was appropriate  Grin) I wanted to put blood splatters on some papers/pages, but wasn't sure if the recipes for blood on fabric would work and haven't found anything online.  I was thinking about mixing teriyaki and red food coloring to get it the right amount of "crimson", but now I"m not so sure....any help is greatly appreciated!

hehe, I was the one who posted that Romeo stencil on stencilry.  Glad to see someone using it!  (Your shirts all look great, by the way)
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: D-D-DUMPED!!! (at least I still have my sewing machine) on: September 14, 2006 05:09:33 PM
well, when that happened to me and my boyfriend, i set to work making myself plenty of cute clothes/dresses/skirts/jewelry/etc. so that when he saw me again, i would feel confident and he would know just how muhc he was missing - AND how ready i was to get on with life!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: Promalong - Making your own Prom dress? Join the club! on: September 09, 2006 04:56:09 PM
As an update, I only have to do a little bit of resizing (I forgot seam allowance on the white when I inserted it to the black, so it's about 3 in. too small,  Roll Eyes) and then hem the bottom and add the velvet, but mine's nearly done - I ended up using a satin (I wanted something matte, but it was $3 a yd. and I had to buy the material myself, so I compromised, lol).  I might end up adding straps so that I can just wear a bra and cami and not have to buy a new strapless bra, because my one from Sadie's recently crapped out on me....  Well, off to work on it.  Anyone making something for homecoming - good luck!
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: I've got a jar of dirt!! on: September 06, 2006 05:42:32 PM
"Will it work?"

"Do you want to give it back?"

".... No."

"Then it'll work."  Grin

can't remember if that's it exactly, but regardless, that ROCKS! haha, cracked up laughing.
