1  my first jewelry attempts! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by kaphrinn on: June 24, 2007 04:26:20 PM
Hello all,

Below are my first attempts at jewelry making. The earrings, anklet and necklace are made entirely of sterling silver. The beads are glass turquoise, glass crystal, and freshwater pearl. I'm pleased with how they turned out; I started simple. Any comments/suggestions appreciated! Thank you. Smiley

PS > sorry the 2nd pic in particular is fuzzy, I'm working on my photography techniques!

2  Raphael pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kaphrinn on: March 28, 2006 01:31:48 PM
So this is a gift for my pseudo-boyfriend. He insists Raphael is the best Ninja Turtle, so I made him this pillow for his bed. I drew the design/colored it and then used an iron to get up the extra wax; the red parts are red fleece that are extra soft. It's about 9"x8".

Thanks!

3  Re: Sir Didymus pouch! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by kaphrinn on: March 23, 2006 07:56:06 PM
Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. I was inspired to make 2 more, the Rainbow Brite one is for me and the Raphael one is for this guy again (it's his fave Ninja Turtle). I'm not sure what they're destined to become, so far all I have are the images on fabric, which are pretty big - they're both like 5" high. Any ideas?

4  Sir Didymus pouch! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by kaphrinn on: March 22, 2006 08:01:16 AM
For all those out there who know and love "Labyrinth," you'll get this. It was/is one of my favorite childhood movies, and I just recently exposed this guy I like to the wonders of David Bowie's 1986 musical and theatrical prowess. His favorite character was Sir Didymus, so I decided to make him a Sir Didymus pouch (God knows what he'll use it for). I drew the outline on the fabric with a Sharpie, then colored it in with crayons, and used the iron/paper technique to get up the extra wax. Voila!

Thanks, guys and gals Smiley

I just finished this tonight. It measures 3 1/2" w by 4" tall, and now my  hand is very cramped. Sad

Can be used for cell phones, cameras, ipods, or just spare change!

8  "in bloom" scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by kaphrinn on: January 22, 2006 08:34:00 AM
Hello all,

I've compelted my first sizeable crochet project in a while. It's a belated Xmas gift for my roommate, Gwen (Pengwend). I haven't figured out how to make flickr.com images appear here, so please be so kind as to see the link below.

Thanks! Smiley
