1  Re: Please post your best costume... in Halloween Costumes by dogz on: September 21, 2005 06:59:00 PM
Thought I'd post the last couple of my Halloween outfits.

2004: feeling a tad religious

That's my husband as the Pope, me as a Rabbi, friend Scott as Jesus, and wild friend Izzy as a pregnant nun!

2003: started my own business and didn't make time for Halloween  Sad

2002: Just started a new career in dog grooming and was influenced by dogs!

2001: Almost near a corporate meltdown - hated my job at that point.  Knife going through head.

2000:  A little neck wound and the beginning of this particular corporate hell.  The best use of my ended-in-divorce wedding dress.  I don't know how many people told me..."I don't think that blood is going to come out!"

Going as Tippi Hedren this year...

I think DH is going as Alfred Hitchcock (to complement my Tippi Hendren outfit).  I haven't been able to find any Alfred Hitchcock masks yet but I saw a life mask of him.  Has anyone ever turned one of these into wearable masks or are they just for hanging on the wall because they're too heavy??  Do you think it would be possible to drill holes in the side of it?

"The sculpture is cast in Tuf-Cal a fiber filled Gypsum cement with Polymer additives.  This mask is finished in Oscar Gold rubbed with an antiquing overlay to bring out the detail, then sealed to preserve it."

Thanks!

I've decided this year I'm going as Tippi Hedren from the Birds movie.  Wear a 60's type dress or jacket and skirt.  Wear a teased up blond wig.  Attach birds all over me as if they're pecking me to death.  Drip blood from the beaks!  I CAN'T WAIT!  Got this idea from the Costume Idea Zone.
