1  five stones - a traditional game in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by keymistress on: October 27, 2007 04:50:55 AM
five stones is a traditional game, some may know it as jacks. they are similar but not exactly the same... i played it when i was a little girl and i'm not sure if people in other parts of the world play with them during their childhood. basically you throw them randomly then pick one up, throw it in the air and try to pick another one up before catching the falling one. (sounds a bit complicated eh?)

it's really easy to make, i used 5 pieces of fabric scraps sized 10cm x 7cm. a great way to use up those loose bits of pretty fabrics.  Smiley

a tutorial is available on my blog for those interested...

2  Eco bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by keymistress on: September 20, 2007 09:20:24 PM
Hello all, I just finished making an eco bag modeled after the common plastic bag. Smiley  The size is a bit off, thanks to me being too lazy to cut up an actual bag for measurements. It'd be better if the "straps" were thinner. I'll probably re-work this when I have the time.

By the way, I made this with my own pattern. This bag is fully lined and consists of only straight lines to sew.  Grin

4  japanese crochet grocery-bag-ish pattern help! in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by keymistress on: March 22, 2007 08:40:15 PM
i have this book and am trying to make the bag on the cover:

it starts off in rounds and i am good until i reach the handles! am i being silly to think that i can crochet this bag in one continuous stitch or must i crochet the handles seperately and attach them to the bag itself?  Huh

any advice is greatly appreciated!

5  'MEEP' gocco print in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by keymistress on: June 12, 2006 09:13:37 PM

birdie illustration screenprinted onto cream card stock
letters 'MEEP' rubber-stamped individually

it took me two attempts to get this one right because i tried to use the blue screen and (eek!) it caused my image to be underexposed and i screwed 2 good bulbs + 1 good screen. Sad apart from that, i think i should stick to my Steadtler 2B pencils instead of some shanghai-china sea lion ones. :p

i love gocco!

6  "ed hardy" sweatshirt screenprint with Gocco in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by keymistress on: April 17, 2006 11:14:55 PM
it's my friend's birthday and i decided to screenprint a sweatshirt for her. she requested to have the word "infinity" on the shirt (her nickname) and i drew a ed hardy koi in the background because she adores ed hardy but i seriously can't afford to get her anything from the store.

it's my first gocco attempt on clothings. the text didn't come out very clearly, i should have left a margin all around the word. hopefully after a few washes the print will crack up and look more rugged?
