41  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ultimate site to learn knitting basic knitting!!! on: April 19, 2006 03:15:29 PM
Thanks for suggesting this site!  It's so detailed, which makes it excellent for slow people like me Tongue.  The videos help a ton.  I just may re-try my hand at knitting after all.
42  ASIA / Japan / Re: Japanese Itunes Music Card on: April 12, 2006 01:22:22 PM
Go to http://www.jlist.com.  They have those.  Don't be scared off by the "adult" section Tongue.
43  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Texas Swap on: December 21, 2005 12:09:54 PM
I've never been in a swap before, but I'm interested in this one since I'm from Texas Smiley.  I hope more people join in on this.  C'mon Texans (or red/white/blue fanatics?), speak up!

PS - Maybe if you added more details, more people might join in?  I don't know.
44  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Funky Coloured Plastic Name Necklace & Star Charm *Now with Tutorial!* on: December 21, 2005 11:30:15 AM
I'm so glad I ran across this thread!  I love name necklaces, but I also don't know how often I would actually wear one so I don't want to waste the money.  When I have the time to do crafts I'm definitely trying this!  The only "problem" is that my name is Stephanie.  I'm going to have a lot of tedious cutting to do Tongue.
45  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: I give new meaning to the phrase "smarty pants." (Har har.) on: December 16, 2005 07:22:09 PM
That is beyond cool.  I want to make a pair of "smart ass" pants myself Grin.
46  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: sweater boots! on: December 15, 2005 04:18:33 PM
Those are awesome Shocked!  Much better looking than the ones I've seen on Urban Outfitters or wherever they sell them and a heck of a lot cheaper too.  When you put up a tutorial I'll definitely have to try to make some for myself!
47  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Crafting for Gorillas on: March 14, 2005 07:12:15 AM
That organization is awesome.  The article about bushmeat horrified me though Cry.  Why would anyone eat a primate?  It's just wrong and disgusting.
I have no idea how to raise awareness though.  Maybe make gorilla plushies and attach a pin with the website on it, then give it to someone?  Make sure the gorilla looks really sad to emphasize the point.  I can't really think of anything else Undecided.  I hope more people have something to add to this thread.
48  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Cassette Tape ID Case on: March 02, 2005 03:10:11 PM
Wow, that is wicked awesome Shocked.  I'm curious though.  Cassette tapes have holes in them, how would it close if there's stuff in it?  It doesn't look like there's anything in it now because you can see through the holes.  Could you take a picture of the tape with stuff inside it and show the hinge?  Sorry, I'm a bit obsessive with knowing how things work Tongue.
49  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: February 27, 2005 04:24:45 PM
Sorry to disrupt the awesome tattoo pictures but I was hoping there was someone from around Dallas, TX who knows a good tattoo shop?  I'm in Plano.
I also finally took a picture of the drawing that I'm going to have tattooed... someday Tongue.  The one thing that I've not decided on is the placement.  I want to show it off but yet I want to make sure it can be covered for special occasions.  The drawing needs more work because I left out some major details.  Missy had a black patch on her right eye, a black tail, and a huge black spot on her back.  Anyhoo, here it is:

I want the tattoo artist to come up with a way of making all of the unfinished lines spell out Missy and include the date of her passing on it.  I'm not good at intricate things like that.
And one last thing!  Leeann, I love your tattoos but I was wondering why you put bright neon spots in all of them?  I like the spots but just wondered at the recurring theme.
50  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: February 23, 2005 10:34:10 AM
All of these tattoos are so awesome Smiley.  I don't have any yet but I have a tattoo idea that I'll share anyway.
The tattoo that I want is of a drawing that I did of my dog, Missy.  I want the tattoo to remember her by.  She passed away on October 16, 2004.  She was with us for 15 years so it was like losing a member of the family.  I need some help from the tattoo artist though on how to make the drawing more... uh... special, I guess.  It's just a simple silly cartoon that I did of her so it needs some oomph to make it a special tattoo.  I'll try to get a picture of the drawing on here later.
The only problem is that I'm terrified of needles Tongue.  Terrified as in the nurses had to hold me down to draw blood or give me a shot, heh.  So I dunno... I'm really hoping to get the tattoo done on my birthday, April 17th.  We'll see.
