Haha, thanks, that was actually several months ago, and everything grew back like it never happened! Not even a skip on my fingerprints. Weird, huh?

This is so neat! a few of those items look just perfect for a friend of mine. 

I've had my share but the winner is certainly a mishap with a belt sander. It was only my second or so time using it, and my teacher demonstrated how to sand the small pieces i was working with, saying, "It just takes a little finesse."
I promptly sanded off the tips of a couple fingers, held up my hand and said, "I lack finesse."

I actually really like the simplicity of the blinds. Maybe you could buy colored blinds or even do a big stencil print on the white ones to punch them up a bit.

The fabric is a knit, so it gets fairly heavy when wet.  I actually made my own starch at home as well, using a recipe I found at How About Orange.  In hindsight, both these factors may have contributed to my downfall.  Oops!  But it's okay because I now have my tree successfully on the wall now though!  I chickened out on the glue, and ended up using a combo of good ol' scotch tape (to keep the tips of the branches down) and 3M poster hangers (thanks for the suggestion).

I still need to prove to myself that this is possible, so I'm going to try again with lighter weight fabric on a vertical wall with a different pattern.

Oh, I've been wanting a hat like this! I have something similar in a knit from a thrift store, but it's purple and I am just not a purple kind of girl. Thank you so much for the pattern!

I love the color of the yarn! It looks really warm, and the only reason it curves a little is because your chain stitch was tighter than your double crochets, but that's fine, it'll fit around her neck better!

I have always wondered about that! Sometimes my stuff curves and sometimes it doesn't, such an obvious answer. Thanks!
