First, let me say that I'm new to sewing and crafting in general. I've done some minor stuff like sew buttons back on and fix hems, but other than that, I have no sewing experience. So if you see crooked stitches, loose ends, etc. (and you will) please keep this in mind. (I know you kind craftsters understand
) This forum has really inspired me to make things and I'm so greatful for the opportunity to be a part of it!
I know my work is not the best, but still I'm pretty proud of myself!
I'm so excited! I just finished my first project, a purple wallet! (I couldn't wait 'till "normal" hours to post.) I made it by following hdogloveyou's Super Cute Wallet tutorial, which can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=20925.0
Thanks so much!!
I'm so very proud of my wallet! I used some fabric I found at Wal-Mart, and a hair elastic and button for the closure. This was really easy to make and as soon as I get more fabric I'm makin' some more!! As you can see, my stitching isn't that good. (I hand sewed it all), but still I love it! Also, you can see that the stitching on the sides doesn't go all the way down. (You try hand-sewing through all those layers of fabric. lol!) As soon as I finished it, I put my money and cards in it! Well, here are the pics:
