I haven't posted in a while. I'd like to say I've been crafting the entire time, but sadly, I haven't. Anyway I recently found some threads for a "purseket"-like purse organizer. Since I'm always changing purses, I thought this would be a good thing for me to have. So I made one. Even though I didn't measure anything (other than just "eye-balling" it) and the pockets are a little short in the front, I'm really proud of it. Let me know what you think!!

I would love one (but I'm kinda thinking I would get tired of the color) but I can't see spending over $1500 for one. I searched on craftster and I found one thread where someone had turned their iBook pink and it was really cute. Has anyone else done this or know how to do this? How hard is it? Does it involve taking a lot of things apart?

Hello, everyone!!

First, let me say that I'm new to sewing and crafting in general. I've done some minor stuff like sew buttons back on and fix hems, but other than that, I have no sewing experience. So if you see crooked stitches, loose ends, etc. (and you will) please keep this in mind. (I know you kind craftsters understand ) This forum has really inspired me to make things and I'm so greatful for the opportunity to be a part of it!  I know my work is  not the best, but still I'm pretty proud of myself!

I'm so very proud of my wallet! I used some fabric I found at Wal-Mart, and a hair elastic and button for the closure. This was really easy to make and as soon as I get more fabric I'm makin' some more!! As you can see, my stitching isn't that good. (I hand sewed it all), but still I love it! Also, you can see that the stitching on the sides doesn't go all the way down. (You try hand-sewing through all those layers of fabric. lol!) As soon as I finished it, I put my money and cards in it! Hi everyone, although I've been browsing crafster for about a week or two, I just joined the other day. I've been looking for a tutorial on how to make a case for my zen micro. I've seen quite a few people who have them and was wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial. I haven't sewed much, but I think I can follow a pattern and step-by-step instructions. I saw one on savvyseams for a felt and fleece case for a Rio Karma and that's how I want mine to be. Any suggestions are welcome. I almost forgot to add: I don't have a sewing machine yet, so I'll be making it by hand. Thanks!!
