Have we done a pure pirates swap? I remember the pirates/ninjas one...
I LOVE pirates. Real and fictional. I think we could get a lot of awesome stuff from a pirates swap, and I know someone else out there MUST like pirates as much as I do.
Unfortunately, I can't organize yet, I think. (my first swap is just ending.) I'm willing to wait to start sign-ups until I'm done with another swap, but I just wanted to get the idea out there, in case someone else was willing to help get this thing of the ground.
I'm going to start off by thanking WitchCatXeen for inspiration...I never thought of having a draw-along...
Anyway! The idea of this is simple: draw one animal beginning with each letter of the alphabet. So, A could be...armadillo, b could be bear, c could be cat, and so on. (Feel free to be WAY more creative than that. )
Your drawings can be any style you want, colored on the computer, with crayons, paint, or not colored at all. All you have to do is draw 26 animals, each beginning with a different letter, and post 'em here!
My little sister has this stuffed sheep that she carries EVERYWHERE. Yesterday, my step mom made an outfit for another doll, and my little sister decided she wanted an outfit for her sheep, too. My step-mom asked me if maybe I could knit something, and I said I would try to find something. I'm thinking just a sort of tube-top with holes for the sheep's front legs?
I'm a really new knitter, so I'm not sure if I'm up to free-forming it. I've never done anything with holes bigger than ones created by yarn overs.
Anyway. I made this yesterday while my step-mom used the sewing machine. I used the pattern from The Cute Book. (I'm soooo happy I got that. My mom found it on the discount table at Barnes and Noble! She didn't even know that I had been pining for it for so long!)
My little bunny doesn't have a name yet. Any suggestions? She now has a name! Miku! Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!
This is the first thing I've ever actually finished, I'm so proud! It's basically just a little pocket with a triangle flap and a button closure. It's the perfect size for my iPod mini, but would be useful as a cell phone case or a place to put little things. Open:
It's done in stockinette at first, then switched to garter for long enough to fold in half at the change in stitches. Then I just did the flap with the button hole, sewed on the button, sewed up the sides, flipped it right side out, and stuck my iPod inside!
It took about a day, but it was my first and I'm a slow knitter. Thanks for looking!
Well, we have one for hair, shoes, tattoos...Why not outfits?
So. Does anyone else ever put together an outfit and walk out the door feeling like the cutest thing on the planet and wishing you could show off your awesome fashion sense to everyone? I know I do! So, here's a place to post pictures of some of your favorite outfits! They don't have to be made by you, either...
Unfortunately, my camera's not working at the moment. My sister is coming over tomorrow, though, and the outfit that I want to post is the one I'll be wearing while she's here. Hopefully I can convince her to take pics so I can post them. In the meantime, start showing off, people!
