21  dress-->shirt...first project/post! img heavy? in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by eronoel on: August 12, 2005 02:35:02 AM
hey everyone! *waves*  Grin as the subject says...this is my first post ever! my aunt told me about this site, and i have been wanting to try reconstructing some of my clothing...so after going through my closet i found this velvet dress (an xmas gift from dad) that never fit. so i thought, hey, this would make an awesome shirt! in my rush to start i kind of forgot to take a pic before i started. whoops! it was just a plain dress, it went straight down from the top (actually, a-line, i think) with spaghetti straps. i took off the straps, cut, sewed, and this is what i ended up with! (i hand-sewed it too! my first time ever)

the sides turned out kind of pointy, i guess because i sewed over the hem maybe? but i like it. and i've already found a skirt that i shall turn into a shirt! bwahahaha
