1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / HELP! I need some color!!! on: October 06, 2008 11:10:59 AM
So i've been living in my apartment for 7 months and it is COMPLETELY void of color! seeing as I have another year to go, I need to bring some cheerful colors in! I wanted to  paint, but apparently I need to pay the complex's painter $200 to do it, and that's money I just don't have. does anybody have any ideas as to how I can counteract these horribly white walls without painting and on a limited budget? All suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Messenger School Bag on: August 12, 2005 12:00:16 AM
since it's time for back to school my friend wanted a completely original new bag that nobody else would have... so we made her one (she cut the fabric and I did all the sewing). Using limited resources (fabric from the 70's that I found in my moms old fabric trunk) we were somewhat successful. And it's HUGE! so it should hold school binders and books. This is my first bag.... well, basically my first sewing project so give me some feedback.... I think I did pretty well for my first time. however, I do have the problem of the bag collapsing in on itself Huh, and if anybody has any Ideas of how to fix that it'd be great Cheesy... Thanks in advance  Smiley

This is the outside of the bag:

here's the bag strap

we put pictures of Rock Paper Scissors on the front

and drew a Camera on one of the pockets inside (there's pencil shadowing in the background that will probably come off when we wash it for the first time...sry about that, I was just too excited to post my first project to wait til we washed it)

and as you can see, this bag is really big and can hold a LOT of stuff!
