7371  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Impossible Swap! Its oh so IMPOSSIBLE!! on: November 20, 2005 01:28:41 PM
You might be better off 'stalking' a fellow crafter on this forum, telling them you like their work, showing them samples of your work, and issuing a challenge for a swap endurance test Smiley

Wow.  Seems like everybody's really trying to get them done by the deadline Cheesy  Thanks for the update, sugarblossom

Okay, I have a question for the folks who are done (or almost done) crafting for this swap.  I was pleased with the things I made for pibbgirl, but I'm definitely going through a bout of craft-related anxiety.  Is anyone else feeling a tad anxious about their crafted items?  Embarrassed

Even though she hates the fact that Singaporeans DON'T EVER PICK THEIR FEET UP.

Okay...must be the meds slowing my mind...but ?!?

Homemade carrot cake with real cream cheese frosting.  Now that's one frosting I could eat (and save the cake for later).  And don't even get me started on fresh whipped cream and cake!  It's "Crisco Icing" that gives me the creeps, not icing or frosting in general.

Okay, back to the subject of cookies.  Seriously.  Does anyone have a tasty sugar cookie recipe they'd be willing to share?  So far, all the recipes I've tried have not been the greatest.  I did find a recipe that produced a cookie that tasted exactly like the store bought sugar cookies, but that was not what I had in mind *sigh*

I received an embroidered felt bookmark from juja today and I love it!  Now all I gotta do is decide if I should use it as a bookmark or pin it up on my bulletin board as decor Smiley

Thanks muchly juja!

7378  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Office Gift Exchange Fun at your Co-worker's expense on: November 18, 2005 08:36:17 PM
Serendipity Crafts, that's frickin' hilarious Smiley  I might just have to borrow that idea.  For our office gift exchange, we pick names out of a box.  One year, I was stuck buying a gift for one of the guys.  I knew he was terribly shy but had a good sense of humor, so I packaged his gift in a Victoria's Secret gift box and wrapped that box in regular paper.  We typically exchange gifts during the Christmas luncheon and open them up so everyone gets to ooh and ah over the gifts.  He just about freaked out when he unwrapped the package and saw the VS box.  Nobody in the office knew that it was a prank, and he got razzed pretty bad about having to model the contents of the box.  You can imagine his relief when he realized the box had a Best Buy gift card and a Box of Legos in it Wink
