The embroidery was 1 inch square; the pillow is 2.5 inch square.  Grin  Don't tell me tiny unless you mean it.  heh heh

It IS tiny...in a very good sense.  I <3 miniature things!  Can't wait to see everyone's tiny things Wink

OMG!  I would have thought that was a trade secret!  You actually own the fragrance.  We are in the presence of royalty girls!

I didn't know it was a trade-secret Lips sealed  We should definitely have a scented play-doh swap.  Heck, I should just make a couple of batches and secretly slip them into future swap packages.  Play-doh rules!

*snort* *gasp* Huh?  Pardon me.

Well, what's wrong with your RA?  Certainly World Salvation Through Play-Doh Research is a noble pursuit.

My research advisor was actually pretty cool...but that suggestion was probably the 'straw that broke the camel's back' Tongue  I was always prodding him to see him 'react'.  Once a chemist, always a chemist, I guess Tongue
7304  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sesame Street/Muppet Show Quilts (In Progress) on: October 18, 2005 06:23:24 PM
Ok - I need you guys to help me.  I've come to a road block with making my Muppet quilt.  I can't find any fun fur - or any other fabric for that matter - for Fozzie Bear. He has to be just the right color since he's one of the main characters.  The colors I've been finding are either too dark of a brown or too light of a brown. He's an orangy-brown.  I bought some fur that was close and tried dying it with some orange and it turned out to be a huge mess!  Here's  a picture of what he looks like.  If anyone can tell me where I can find something in his color - I would be so grateful!

What I'm thinking of immediately amounts to cannibalism Smiley  What about dismantling a thrift store stuffed animal?  I haven't seen similar colors at the fabric stores, but maybe something more "loved" would match?

As someone who loves her stuffed animals it was hard for me to suggest that, but it's all I can think of  Cheesy

Oh no...don't hurt the stuffies!?!  I was thinking that you could get a new piece of fabric and distress it by several wash/dry cycles.  Would staining it with a strong tea solution help achieve the color after it has been 'distressed'?  I used to make miniature teddy bears and I would stain my fabric pieces with strong tea or coffee.

It's adorable!!!  I had no notion that it was that tiny.  Fidget did good, eh?  Love the colors and embroidery.  princessandthebead, you should definitely add a tiny glass slipper to the pillow - that'll be priceless!

Custom. Homemade. Smells-right. Play-doh.  I'm in the presence of divinity. *faints*

*tries to revive Fidget with smelling salts vial of play-doh fragrance oil*  Yeah, I tried to convince my research adviser that it was perfectly appropriate to manufacture play-doh in the lab to fund my research activities.  It got shot-down  Angry

I kid you not!  I honestly have a 2-oz bottle of play-doh scented fragrance oil in my box of scents.  E-bay rules! Smiley

Whoo hoo!!  Three down...  Yeah, I'm counting, baby!

BTW, I love play-doh too.  I have an awesome recipe that replicates the consistency and texture of play-doh but I couldn't get it to smell like play-doh!  What's a girl to do?  I went out and bought me some play-doh fragrance oil to add to my homemade play-doh.  I'm willing to share it if anybody wants some!
