Soon...I promise Smiley  I'm really excited about doing this!!!

There are a couple more details to sort out and then I'll like to start doing pre-approvals before the swap actually begins.  That way, we'll have a pool of participants ready to claim and post their stash!  Hopefully, it'll cut down on idle time between claims/posts.

Stifflersmom, I am definitely going to have to start stalking you when you go thrifting! I wish I'd thought to put a gps chip in those mittens!  Grin

If you ever get around to embedding that gps chip, let me know Wink

Stifflersmom, I adore my new journal  Kiss  I would totally share my swap loot with ya, but I seem to have 'conveniently' misplaced your address... Wink

I have a vague idea about what's on that card (something about books...and friends...).  I will look it up when I get home Cheesy

Oh.  That's right.  That 'somebody' would be moi!!!  A_Patchwork_Orange, you're speedy!!!  She totally hooked me up with Japanese fabrics.  In addition to six FQs, she also sent me a 1/2 yard bonus piece.

They're all gorgeous!  I don't have any specific plans for them yet, but I'm sure they'll inspire new projects Smiley  Thanks, A_Patchwork_Orange!

MissMeshell, I think that's a great idea Smiley  I'll leave it up to the person who is posting the pictures to decide if she would rather link the pictures or post them in the thread.  I'll have to check out Blogger!!!

I received a terrific swap package from Stifflersmom Smiley  She chose to fulfill my wish for a new craft journal, and she did an awesome job.  My new journal (which has a fear monster on the cover) looks waaaay better than my current one (which is plain, black...and boring...).  On with the pictures:

Yep, in addition to my lovely journal, she also sent me an ATC, a bunch of stickers and various bits of ephemera!  Here's a close-up of the ATC:

Thanks for the wonderful swap package, Stifflersmom!

What will happen if no one picks something off the thread and its stalled for a long time?

said person gets a reason to go to the craft store Grin

LOL, going to the fabric store would be a chore, wouldn't it Wink

Seriously, that's why I thought about having people post a minimum of 10 8 options.  If we're stuck after a day or two, the last person should add a couple more options.  I think it's alright to post a variety of fabrics, as long as everyone honors the system that they should post fabrics that they would like to receive Wink

Question: Will there be a max # of claims a person can have out? Or will there be some rule to determine when you can claim again, say after you've shipped out and your partner has received or something to that effect? Or do these types of rules not really apply to the ongoing swaps as much since they are a pretty even give and take? Just curious...I really have no opinion on this particular area of the swap, I've just noticed a lot of other swaps have similar rules and wasn't sure how this would go.

I think I will adopt the system used for the ongoing wish swaps Smiley  A newbie can have one claim, everyone else can have two claims, and FOCs can make three claims.  When you have reached your max, you will not be able to claim anyone else's fabric offerings until one of your partners have received from you.  So basically, you cannot owe more than the number of claims you can make.  Did that make sense?  It's getting late  Undecided
