It's stamped.   I can't draw at all!   Cute shoe card!

That's alright...I can't draw either.  Hence, I'm always in awe of folks who can  Smiley  Thank god for rubber stamps!

Here are the two cards I made for the September Greeting Card Craftalong.  The one on the right will be sent to a friend who has a shoe fetish.

6974  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What are you gonna do with your $1 Target yarn(s)? on: September 09, 2005 06:15:53 PM
So, there has been tons of discussion about the availability of the yarns.

Though I shouldn't have, I went to my local Target and bought about $25 worth of the fun fur and boucle yarns.  Bad, bad, bad.  I can't resist a good bargain  Tongue  What is everyone else planning to do with their stash?  Any suggestions on easy/beginner projects for the yarns?
6975  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Disturbing textile arts...I love it on: September 09, 2005 06:56:27 AM
Oh yeah, they're definitely a tad disturbing but you've gotta give her bonus points for creativity.  I can't believe they're knitted...with such details.  Me likey!

6976  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: I LOVE MY DOG TORSO! on: September 09, 2005 06:07:29 AM
Very adorable...looks just a real wiener dog!  nico-tiro, it looks good, without the eyes.  What it really needs, is a little doggie collar Grin
6977  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Authentic Indian Butter Chicken on: September 09, 2005 05:07:07 AM
JazzyBee, I love curries  Grin  I glanced at the list of ingredients and goodgrief, I believe I have them in my kitchen.  Goody gumdrops.  I'm definitely gonna try the recipe this weekend.  Quick question.  Is it a really spicy (as in flaming hot?) curry, or is it rather mild?
6978  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Greeting Card Craftalong on: September 08, 2005 11:32:25 AM
They're cute Smiley  I dig the card on the right.  Did you draw the ice-cream sundae free-hand or was that stamped?
6979  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Shrunken Heads for Halloween on: September 08, 2005 07:33:59 AM
They're a frightful looking bunch...but I totally <3 this idea!  I'll definitely be making these for my Halloween party decorations.  Quick question.  Did you spray a varnish over the completed shrunken heads or will they be alright for a couple of weeks up till Halloween?  Thanks for sharing the instructions!

If you have long strips (better on the bias) you can crochet with them... make nice, thick potholders. With the really little scraps you can snip them to confetti-sized bits, soak them in water, mix with a little newspaper, and make art paper. And, of course, they make great patches for jeans or pockets for tote bags.  Grin

Oooh.  I really like the art paper idea.  That would be awesome, especially for the scraps of glittery fabric that I have in my stash.  I'll have to look for instructions on how to make this art paper!
