i did it, and my little brother love it! its an amazing idea and project.Now i'm thinking of attempting triangular shaped, thinking of toblerone chocolate package..think it will work?

I don't see why that wouldn't work.  It's the same concept, no?  I would love to see the results of that!  Please post if you do make one with the toblerone boxes

classycrafter, here's the recipe for the sugared pecans!

You'll need:

• 1 egg white
• 1 tbsp water
• 1 lb pecan halves
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt

Method:

• Preheat oven to 250°F.  Grease a baking sheet and set aside.
• Beat the egg white and water in a large bowl until frothy.  Combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt in another bowl.
• Add the pecans into the egg white and water mixture.  Make sure the pecans are coated evenly.  Remove pecans from egg white and water mixture and coat them with the sugar mixture.  Spread out the nuts on the prepared greased baking sheet.
• Bake for 1 hour, stirring the nuts every 15 minutes or so.

Voila!  They're done...enjoy!

loves2experiement, you just reminded me of one of my most favorite treats...sweet & spicy pecans. I'll dig the recipe up and post it soon. They are the usual sugared pecans with an underlying subtle heat from cayenne pepper. Delicious and unique.

LivinEasy, I've never tried that but it sounds scrumptious.  Do post a recipe for that!

One of my holiday favourites (actually, they're good anytime!) is Sugared Pecans.  It's real simple and always welcome (unless the recipient is allergic to nut products) in the food baskets I create.  I also like sending out PB filled chocolate cookies.  The combination of chocolate and PB is divine!  You could probably find recipes online for them.  If you'd like a copy of the recipes I have, just pm me

I can't wait either!  I would love to share with my assigned partner some of the crafty doodads I have in my craftroom.  giggleycraft, I'm what you call an 'obsessive supply buying person' too!  When I work on a craft project, I usually buy way more than what's required to finish the project (ya never know...you might need extra supplies!).  I also think it's fun to purchase bits and pieces of crafty doodads even though I have absolutely no idea what I intend to do with them (again...ya just never know).  This weekend, I'm gonna use the excuse of being a participant of this swap to hit the craft stores to pick up more stuff
