6791  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Design a Dream Wallet Swap (SIGNUP CLOSED ; MAIL BY 03/17/06) on: March 05, 2006 02:22:13 PM
nobody carries my wildberry skittles in a big bag anymore! i guess the "smoothie mix" is the new one Sad

Are you serious?? They've discontinued it and replaced it with the smoothie mix?  If I don't buy the wildberry skittles, I usually eat all the red ones in the regular bag.  For some reason, I don't really care for the smoothie mix skittles Tongue

On another note, I am making progress with luciabug's wallet.  She has selected her favourite from the fabric swatches I showed her and I've cut the pieces!!!  What's next?  Erm...trying to get my darn sewing machine to cooperate Angry  I will make another attempt this evening *sigh*

LOL...if that's the case, I think I might be a contender, Yirq Grin

I have updated the progress of this swap (see first post of this thread) and I'm pleased to report that everyone has checked in Smiley

BTW, if you have received a swap package from your partner, please pm your partner and myself (if you haven't already done so).  This swap is going really well, and I hope to start leaving feedback for those who have fulfilled their swap requirements by the end of next week.

When that's all in the clear...it might very well be time for Round 2 Grin

Hmmm...I won't be using the design from the super cute wallet tute because my partner wants a full-size wallet.  I'll be making it without a pattern, so I really hope it works out  Undecided  Swapping rocks!  I'll be adding extra goodies for my partner too...just because it's fun Smiley

The day after I sent we went to Joann's and I bought about 10 remnants, so much for stash busting, but I am ready for round 2!

Yeah, stash busting is a concept that's totally foreign to me.  I always convince myself that I need more fabric for this 'phantom quilt' that I'm making.  Good intentions count for something, I hope...   Embarrassed

Oooh...Skittles!!!  Now that you've mentioned it, I have a serious craving for red skittles (my favourite!) and I don't have any in my pantry *sigh*

kookoosp, I can't believe you'll be done by this weekend  Roll Eyes  Goodgrief...you're fast!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I hope we've all had the chance to contact our partners Smiley

To ease my swap anxiety, I have picked out three fabrics and I'm letting my partner, luciabug select her favourite fabric design.  I reckon at the very least, she'll like the fabric even if she hates the wallet Tongue  After that...no more clues!  Yep, I'm gonna keep everything under wraps till she receives it Wink

Anyhow, things have been pretty quiet around here!  Make some noise...let me know you guys are still out there and working on your swap projects Cheesy

Most of you have already sent to your partner(s), and a few have indicated that they will send them out today Smiley  For those who have sent but forgot to pm their partners and/or myself (if you have the DCNs, don't forget to include that info!!!), please do that!  If you've not sent out your packages and will be a little late (for valid reasons), please contact myself and your partner(s) sometime today.

Oh, and if you haven't already, check out the lovely fat quarters on display in the swap gallery!  I can't wait to see everything Cheesy

Here's the typical story when I hit the fabric stores.  I buy what's on sale...because it's on sale.  Then I see something that's NOT on sale...but love, love, love it...so I buy it anyway.  Guess what?  It goes on sale the next couple of days.  What's a girl to do?  Yep, you guessed it.  Head back to the store and buy more fabric because it's now on sale Tongue  It's a vicious cycle, I tell ya!!!
