6751  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Thing Swap - CLOSED (you guys are wicked-fast!) on: October 10, 2005 09:18:53 AM

Carry on with your craft, Loves2!  And if you want to spill the beans to me in an e-mail so that I can dance around singing "I have a secret" again, feel free!  I'm immature, and I love it!   Cheesy

*Tsk, tsk*  You're gonna have to cough up a bribe for that information.  Oh dear.  I'm equally immature... but I'm also terrific at keeping secrets Wink  I solemnly promise that my 'one tiny thing' consists of multiple (but necessary) parts...and as hard as it may be, I won't send more than one goodie.  Uhm, are there restrictions on packaging the 'one tiny thing'?!?

Oh-oh Tongue  What if the 'one tiny thing' consists of multiple tiny parts?  Is that alright?!?  I hope so!

Oooh!  Do you take bribes?!? Wink  starpiste and I have been communicating via pm and things are peachy!  I believe we're both on the right track Cheesy

I was reading the September 2005 issue of Crafts n Things and guess what?  They had instructions for a project on temporary wall art (similar to wallies) using repositionable adhesive and Tygerag paper.  Thought you might be interested Smiley

That is a really lovely purse...well done.

To stop the bag flopping you could try putting some Rigiline (boning that you can sew through) around the top of the bag - stitch it down - before you turn the bag inside out.  Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the compliment and idea Smiley  I'm off to the shops this morning and I'll definitely look for nylon boning to experiment with!

That might very well work!  I guess I could leave a clear border of sorts all around the letters.  Thanks for the idea!  Smiley

Velcro might help a little, but then you'll still have the flop, it will just be to one side or the other with both sides together instead of each side floppin open.  It really is a design flaw.  Store-bought purses that are designed like this are ultra-stiff.

I guess I'm in a no-win situation then Sad  Perhaps I'll just have to make sure that I have a notebook in the purse at all times.  That should help the purse retain its shape Tongue

I would love to make one of these! I also have the problem of nowhere selling personalised stuff with my name on. Does anyone have any ideas how I could do the writing with an i?

That's one reason I've yet to make one for myself (because my name has the letter 'i' in it).  One idea I had was to do each letter in caps.  Another was to make the letters individually and somehow attach them to the necklace.  If you come up with more ideas, I'd love to hear about it!
